Phil Bayer is a god tier vocalist. I was so sad when he left T,TV, but luckily now they've managed to find a vocalist that somehow actually fills his spot. Their newer material is on par with this album, and I'm so stoked for whatever they have coming. Also, now that Phil is in FLOYA, we get both great bands at the same time! Edit: You keep mentioning Ashe/Tesseract and Periphery-I've always said this band is like TesseracT and Periphery had a baby, haha.

Funny you mentioned spencer as the vocalist on this LP actually said that he learned how to do those high raspy cleans from trying to cover periphery lmao. He left the band after this album and now released music with FLOYA.

Man I've been trying to get reaction channels to check these guys out for quite some time now. This album is such an impressive debut album. A top 10 album for me. Phil leaving is tough, although FLOYA is great, just feel he fit better in this band more. TTV's new singles have been decent though so there is promise about their new album. Damn, wasn't expecting Glue by Bicep at 20:40 lol. You've got great taste in house music too bro.

Thank you for bringing me back to this band. I listened to 3 tracks as singles when they came out, back when I had just started listening to Metalcore(-Playlists). Never came back to check out their entire album, should've done that tho. 1:04:36 In your "When the end began"-reaction you thought it was released in 2014 and realised it actually was published in 2018 while editing. This time you said it right and corrected yourself in the editing incorrectly, right? ^^

Comparing someone to Ash is probably one of the highest compliments you can pay a vocalist! This album is really solid. I don't know if it's on the same level as Altered State lol. But Phil is excellent at singing, and the instrumentals are super tight. Lots of memorable riffs and vocal verses.

So glad you spoke so highly to this album, it's honestly top 5 of all time albums for me. I suspect their next album (with the new vocalist) will be a top 3 contender for the year when it's released probably next year. Top 3 songs for me would be Onryo (that fast paced breakdown can't be beat), When I Meet Death, and either How Fleeting or Starseeker. I honestly cannot say enough how much I absolutely love this album as a whole and how incredibly produced it is. As for context, I'm not too sure, I kinda have my own personal takes as to what some songs mean in a way that they have meaning to me personally (that's the beauty of music tbh), but Starseeker I did read somewhere that it was about Phil. He had some kind of illness which I believe was the reason for his departure and needing to take a break for so many years, so that song is about his emotions and feeling about that (I believe, could be wrong tho).

The FX30 is a great cam, however, I agree with another comment that the back of your head for reacting moments isn't the most effective. Even a side profile could work better IMO, but I like the setup. Glad you reacted to this album, I was so high on it back in the day.

Loved this and had never heard them, really enjoyed getting to listen in between editing photos too. I have been on a big Bad Omens kick here lately and didn't see that on your channel anywhere. I think you'd probably enjoy them a lot because every song is pretty different but also, their music videos seem like a big part of the experience too for some songs so I am not sure what the best way to experience that album would even be.

Time, the Valuator kinda fell off for me after this release, they released nothing but singles since they released this album, weird strategy that I dont think has worked. For some reason I never made the connection between them and Tesseract, but it seems so obvious especially after you said it haha. Listened to this album a lot back in 2018, kinda cool to rediscover this album with this reaction 🙌

TTV without Phil seems to have really dipped in the quality of lyrics writing. Every song on HFHF is a coherent story, or at the very least a powerful mental image. I couldn't tell you what any of the singles (barring Vibrant) are supposed to be about, just a soup of cool-sounding words. It's still well produced, catchy music, but it doesn't come close to having a special place in my heart the way this album does. Really unfortunate.
