If EA sports ever gets back into the NASCAR scene they need to make the game like NASCAR Thunder 04 and NASCAR 05. All those games needed was a little tweaking to the damage model and they would have been perfect.

I would love a game with the 04 and 05 mechanics combined, if they had done that with 05 it would be the best NASCAR game of all time, don't you think?

04 and 05 were the best, but you have to understand that the studios as they were then will never return. EA only cares about what you pay them, not what they present to you. Sports games will never be that good again

EA had the best damage physics of all. These nascar games today the crashes are mediocre and the visual damage on the cars are unrealistic. It was more realistic when parts were torn and shredded and flying off the cars and you had debris on the tracks and cars gas tanks and engines literally blew up catching fire. Today they have cars in the game that hit the wall at 185mph and have minor damage or cars flip over six times flying 50 ft in the air and barely any damage.
