@@goosesatan unlike homes, cars are broken into at night generally rather than the day. Think about it: The average thief who only wants stuff does NOT want to encounter a person regardless of their age, size, or gender. They just want to get in and get out and have fun with their new stolen goods or the money they make from them. So for a house, daytime is the best time to break in as most people will be at work. For cars though, you wouldn't want to break into one during the day, as the owner could come back to that car at any moment since most humans are active and awake and driving to and from places during the daytime. At night though, it's more likely the owner is asleep inside their house not even thinking about their vehicle.

Personally, I keep a sub-machinegun with a 3-lug suppressor, using sub-sonics, and Suomi drum mags ready to go at all times. Once I pair that with night vision, an IR light and laser? If somebody were to enter my home as it is, they're sort of fucked. Do so at night? They'll think Satan himself crawled from the depths of hell to drag them down. But, yeah. Tip: My mom is a retired herpetologist (the study of snakes and reptiles) and she did deadly snake removal from people's homes for many years. Her vehicle had to have a sign on the back, warning people that there are potentially life threatening animals in her vehicle. The sign on the back and sides said: "Danger: Poisonous snakes on board" and to stay within a certain distance from the vehicle. I've never seen so many people avoid a vehicle as much as hers. They would sometimes run from it if they caught a glance of the sign. I highly suggest putting a sign like this on your vehicle or somewhere on your home to keep people away. Just recently in Canada, we had a case where a husband came home and pulled up into his driveway and entered his garage using the automatic opener. As he pulled in some more, a masked man snuck from the alleyway (right next to the garage where the husband parked) and stood against the wall till the garage door closed. The husband NEVER looked behind or even GLANCED at his mirrors to make sure it was safe to come out and you could see that the husband exited the car and closed the garage door (hitting the button on the wall) and the masked man right there on the other side just getting ready. He was so oblivious and that caused him AND his wife to pay the price because they were both murdered. You can see this in the neighbor's surveiance footage that captured everything above except the actual murder. PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU ARE IN YOUR TRANSITIONAL SPACES AKA DRIVEWAYS, GARAGES. KEEP GLANCE AT ALL YOUR MIRRORS! You are not safe till you are inside of the house, secured and locked up!!

There's no secrets in this video. It's all common sense stuff anyway. Most of the time, the reason why people became victims of a home invasion is typically cause they were niave to think it will never happen, and plus, they didn't assess their weaknesses and have a plan ready.

Ladies (and guys)... if someone is attacking you don't be afraid to hurt them. For example, you need to be prepared to gouge out their eyes if needed. I took a self defense course years ago and one of the best things I learned from it was to make sure I am mentally prepared to do whatever it takes to defend myself - including severely maiming or killing an attacker.

Very useful information in this video! 3 yrs ago I was living alone with my elderly disabled father in Baltimore. Our house was broken into by 3 guys that thought my Dad was loaded with $$. One guy had a knife and one had an automatic rifle. They held me at gun point, searched my Dad found $30 and stabbed him in the stomach. Then they stripsearched me. Found nothing to steal except that $30 on dad. They all stepped into our kitchen, talked, came out and shot my dad in the neck. They told me to stay right there that I was next and they went back into the kitchen to talk. I told my dad I was going for help (I thought he was gone 😔) and I ran out the door and up the street until I found help. A little more home security knowledge at the time would’ve been sooo very helpful. I pray for everyone to not have to go through this but if u do then atleast be prepared 🙏✌🏻💜💜💜 PS-dad is still alive and kicking as he puts it lol, still kickin’ just not too high lol

We have a particularly nasty 112 lb. GSD/Wolf hybrid with beware of dog signs. We got him from the pound, he was scheduled to be put down because he bit 3 people. We saved him. He is a handful, but a great guard dog. The put up flood lights, and cut all the lower tree branches up 8’. Easier to cut the lawn, looks great and gives me vision to all 3 acres around the house. There are a lot of pieces to this puzzle.

Well I'll be. I have a 3 acre property fenced with 4ft 2"x4" grid wire, top with barbed wire. My north line is .5 acre wooded all the way up to the fence. There are fruit and berry shrubs, trees, from east to west, north to the next property. There is virtually no sight line from my fence north to the next property. Would you suggest I go ahead and trim that, say from the fence to about 10 ft wide, or just trim the lower limbs? They are large mature trees. Right now, a person can hide right at that fenceline and I would not know it. The dogs have been a terror more than once, so someone is there. I have creepy dude on the other property. I hate disturbing the fruiters. But these times call for sacrifice right? My backup dog guardian is 120lb pitbull/catahoula mix, that holds down the east side, gate entry. Loves me to pieces. Not so much others, or chickens. Why he's cabled. He's cabled on a 75ft line, with 30 ft width to the house. Sorry for the length. I read your post and we are set so similarly, it all came pouring out. Thank you and God bless you.

I have been thinking on fencing around my house so my dog can roam it. She's 130 lb central Asian Shepherd mix. Am currently looking at another dog I want so badly. It's a puppy and I can't bend over and can't run to the door as often as a puppy needs. This puppy is a bull mastiff/great dane mix. So perfect for me. I like the trimming trees 8ft up, great idea!. I live in woods and field so yes that'd be helpful..thanks!

One summer back in 2000, virtually all the homes on my side of the street got robbed. Ours was the only one that was saved, and we never locked our doors (because we kept forgetting our keys and locking ourselves out)!!! I attributed it to the fact that we always had four big dogs and the robbers probably did not want to deal with them...

I’m in the private security industry and that’s exactly what I train and educate but the only things I disagree with is the leaving skate boards or whatever outside and telling your neighbors too much information about what’s going on with your household and where a-bouts , most the time there’s a break in it’s someone that knows you or your routines and can also be a neighbor or your neighbors mention something to someone else
@KatarinaS.2 жыл бұрын
I agree. How well do you really know your neighbors and especially not all the people that they know whom they may divulge your personal info to. As for the kids' toys strewn about, I don't see that as a deterrent, if anything it could attract certain sickos.

A big one is: Never tell anyone you're going out of town. A neighbor once told me she was going out of town, but said she wasn't telling a mutual friend--who couldn't keep a secret. Also, there are a few newlyweds out there who were robbed when they plastered all over their social media that they were going to Tahiti for their honeymoon.

Heck yes! Just because you have pleasant conversations doesn't mean you can trust your neighbors! My ex was a cop and he always said a lot of times people are robbed by someone close who knows your routine or has already been inside your house. Watch ID and you'll never give your key to anyone!

I keep my property pitch black inside and out with lots of obstacles, if someone robs me at night...it is a friend...Also, I have known several people who had intruders at night that were just trying to steal something soo thieves come day or night. Also, ive heard never leave anything around outside your house that could be used as a weapon I.e. bricks, tools, shovels etc...dont use nightloghts inside your home because then anyone can see inside at night. When repair people come, do not walk them through your home, keep them ONLY in the area being worked on or outside, if they are doing outside work keep all blinds closed while they are there so they cannot peep the layout of your home. Keep a gun close by your bed. If they DO enter your home, you can exit a bedroom window and go to a neigbors house to call police.

That film is very expensive. It works! But it's costly. There are various levels of window film, some just help keep a room cool while receiving direct sun, some will prevent breaking if the lawnmower kicks rocks at the window, or if you live near a golf course, and the pricey good stuff is nicknamed "riot film" and prevents damage from a lot of things.

The garage door emergency release cable tip is GOLD! I've never thought or heard anyone talk about this. I've talked to my husband about the door screws and he rolls his eyes. He does have a point as every exterior door in our house is ether full glass or partial...the window film idea is another GOLD tip. "Fight for your life" is what I told my son when he was little if someone grabbed him. I told him that they will lie, do NOT believe them...scream, kick, hit and NEVER give up. Unfortunately we live in an uncertain world. Instead of adopting a victim mindset learning tools to turn things around in difficult and deadly situations is extremely important. Thank you.
