I know most of the playerbase plays on unofficial or modded but I'd like to see more ship reviews geared towards official. The pcu and tool block constraints make for some very cool creative guidelines. Making a ships actually usable for official is a massive task. PVP viable stuff with grav drives and all that is very interesting. Aswell as function ships like jumpships and carriers that use minimal pcu

Open carriers aren't easy to make look decent, and this one looks snazzy.

A nice compact carrier, maybe when we get those small grid jump drives carriers and their fighters and/or bombers will be way more practical!

I have minor quibbles about layout and ease of use, but overall a well-optimized design for its role.

I think the bridge is at a great position. "The back is too heavy. Put the bridge to the back." -Lunar- Putting the bridge 2-3 blocks to the front and adding a comms array behind the bridge would be a valid idea too, but I think the bridge in the center looks great.

@@sybrandwoudstra9236 yep completely understand where you’re coming from, my perspective is to move it back and change the com on the ship so it looks more balanced, but that could totally work as well. You know it’s a great ship when these are the only points to debate 😂

Call me crazy but I use double air locks with triple doors when I am building in space or no o2 area's..I use a inside door then a passageway that has a air vent on decompress, 2nd door and 2nd passageway/vent set up as the first, then outside door.... Just to keep all my o2 inside and not let it go out into the void... I do the double vent as 1st one catches most, but the 2nd often catches the rest...

only criticism I could have is the fact that there's only 11 beds in the living quarters, when the ship is capable of carrying 10 fighters and seems to require at least 7 crew. I guess someone has to sleep on the couch lol

Surely i am not qualified to say something (by the rule of the internet then i HAVE tro say it XD): I agree in that it is a very well designed and good looking ship! But it gave me the inspiration to try and reconstruct it 90degrees turned on the side and double sided flight decks where my point defenses are on top and botton therefore with 100% coverage... thx for the good video as usual!

alright man great videos lots of good tips and tricks for differant designs just wondering if you woud review my ship too : Arrow Head Heavy Destroyer mk_1 cant miss it cople triangles with a blue and red stripe on one side in the process of mk2 but kinda struggling with it so would love some pointers to tidy it up a bit

nice carrier tho until keen updgrades the official servers to allow a littler more pcu per head thoses beautiful creations are off limits because of restrictions although its a great great baseline for design and skill learning for layouts and aesthethics in design smaller versions can be used on official just not as grandiose XD cheers everyone

I'm certain this carrier either is or can be made under 15k PCU. Then you can have maybe 1 fighter and a miner and you're at 20k again.

the PCU of the ship itelf is only 14k so servers handle it well

@@sybrandwoudstra9236 true ive wised up a bit since the early days and ive made a versatile miner/welder/tug small grid ship with interchangeable fronts so you can do it all in 1 ( space only tho ) if this carrier is really 14-15k pcu than yes it would be nice

Put ships on all the connectors, get in the control station of the carrier, switch to third person and try to look around. How perfect is it then? Not the ship builders fault, it's keens of course with their forced camera view.
