After Gelfand took the pawn C6, The continuation of Qd3+, Ka1, Qc3, Kb1 would have won with RD1+ giving a check. Either I am missing something(Which is totally ok... or) RD1 by Vishy would mean RD1, unpinning the pawn and the Black Queen can be captured else, QD1 would mean that RD1 by Anand would capture Gelfands queen. With the Queen on C file Anand could also take up the pawn on C6.

No, because Rd1+ white can just take Rxd1 I think and if gxh5 there is Rxd8+ with two rooks for the queen. It would still just end in a draw. If Rd1+ Rxd1+, there is Qxd1.
