Hi folks, I'm the guy who made the video. Lots of you asking why I insisted on Ng5 after Qh6. That's because Black can play the typical idea Kh8-Rg8, guarding g7. Ng5 ends the game because of the unstoppable threat on h7. Cheers!

While I really enjoy your style of presentation, a little bit of depth in different variations or tactics would be very helpful for players like me who don't immediately see the top (say 3) moves. I really hope you could incorporate that into your analysis.

Eugene Torre was the first and only Asian Grandmaster at that time, I believe. Phillipines had the chess tradition that helped Anand and he said that many times.

It took roughly 4 minutes and 13 second for my Stockfish Version 2.2.1 to find the move (15. f5). Simply brilliant prep by Vishy.

No one can be number one every time and its not in the game of chess it apply in every game. A better version of former champion is always there.

No joke. I ran the position after 14... d4 on Stockfish 10 and it took it until depth 30 and slightly over 3 minutes to find f5.

Very silent moves by The Tiger of Madras, Anand and Nepo was trapped helpless, he realized after e5 move but too late the tiger was ready to kill the king. Marvelous game by Anand.

my company organized an interactive session with Anand a couple of weeks back as he too was in lockdown I did prepare to ask his views on Qd6 Scandinavian, Grundfeld, Najdorf moves among the many. the host only selected his choice of questionnaire as he didn't think they had time for Anand to discuss all the questions on various moves

Anand is super fast in his calculations every chess player knows that. At any part of the game can come up with something stuns the opponent. needless to mention evidences. Just search his miniatures. I mean he doesn't need a whole year to put up such master class game.

On the 17th move by white, engines were always calculating a move like 17. Rfb1, saving the hanging rook on f1 and that was the reason why the engines said, yes, black is winning. But, the first time, when I tested this exact same position, after 17. f6, it'd almost in 3-4 seconds say, black is going to get checkmated in 4 more moves.... Peculiar

Just a quick comment, I recall reading in Vishy's book, 'Mind Master', about the advent of AI in chess preparation. Probably he was referring that an AI engine could have picked up the line when he talks about the older and slower 'classical' engines not being able to catch up?
