🎙️ Welcome to the Introductory Episode of "Life as a Muslimah"
In this episode, we delve into various topics that resonate deeply with every Muslim woman. From uncovering the purpose behind this podcast to exploring the invaluable role of a Muslimah, we embark on an insightful journey touching upon the meaning of new beginnings.
🎯 Our Aim
As Muslim women, we often find ourselves inadvertently overlooking or even struggling to find the female figures who could inspire us. Instead, we sometimes allow our inner thoughts and obligations to construct barriers, distancing ourselves from aspiring to the greatness embodied by certain individuals in society or in history.
We also tend to create a division between our roles as women and those of men, and using such believes as obstacles, hindering our personal growth as individuals and as an Ummah.
For example, one would say "I have not achieved so and so because I am not a man', 'he has more time to spend seeking knowledge', 'he can travel', 'he can stay out late' and so on.
Let's reimagine a change in perspective.
"Life as a Muslimah" emerges as a platform that illuminates the principals of Islam while fostering sisterhood and motivation among us. Our mission is to pivot our perspective away from competing with men and redirect it towards a collaborative journey, strengthening and magnifying our contributions as an ummah.
This podcast aims to help us uplift one another, and navigate our paths while inspiring and celebrating the voices, experiences, and stories of the other Muslimahs. Together, let us embrace our shared journey toward growth, unity, and of course Jannah inshallah.
Following the words of Allah swt
وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَيُطِيعُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
"Believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, establish prayer, give zakah, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those - Allah will have mercy upon them."
AND
" أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللَّهُ فَبِهُدَاهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ "
"They are those whom Allah had guided. So follow their guidance."
