A new cub!

The day with Simon and Magoo ❤️. It looks like we have a new cub that came overnight. It's just a bit bigger than Simon, so if it was born in late February, that would make it about right. I'm so excited about this 😊. Fingers crossed, we see more of him/her ❤️
I am currently trying to edit my own videos, as Matt is struggling with time right now. They may not have music as I've not figured that bit out, even though Matt has told me 😊. The thumbnails I also need to figure out, but I'll get there eventually 😉

I'm just a normal everyday lady who feeds friendly wild foxes and squirrels that come to my garden. Under no circumstances am I trying to tame them as pets or allow them into my home. I am also NOT a fox rescue service. They turn up of their own free will. Being urban, food isn't always easy to find, as not many areas for them to hunt, so I like to try and help them a little if I can. They are not totally reliant on me and haven't lost the ability to hunt for themselves. I will give them medication when needed for mange, infections, and pain, but that is under the close eye of the fox experts 🦊
ChipChip, Cookie, Jimmy, Pip, Daphne, Ringo, and Howie are the seven regulars that arrive most evenings. Basil hasnt been seen since the end of November, just as mating season started 😪 But I live in the hope that he'll return one day 🤞
Biscuit was the first fox to befriend me back in 2021. Unfortunately she passed away Sept 1st 2023 and she is sadly missed by everyone who got to know her 😢❤️ I'd like to thank The Fox Angels Foundation and Second Chance Fox Rescue for all the help, support and advise with trying to help Biscuit. And the continued support they still give me. I can't thank you guys enough! 🦊🥰
Kenny and Norman, my two cats can be seen from time to time, plus there's Dave, the streetlight 🤣 Random cats, and not to forget the squirrels! ❤️ Plus, there's the badger! and sometimes a hedgehog!

For other fox lovers who don't know how orphaned foxes are raised to be released back into the wild: Wildlife Aid and other channels have videos showing how it's done. As Debs described, they must learn how to survive from other foxes--we can't teach them that. SaveaFox has a video explaining how it's similarly done with a wild stoat. I've learned a lot from these channels. ♥️🦊

That's right Debs, you helped the babies survive. Without you they might have died. Now it's time. that they learn how to get along in the wilderness without people. Foxes belong in the forests where they can be FREE. They cannot be humanized. I often have foster dogs myself. Yes, it hurts when they have to leave, but you know that they will go to a better future. And so a place becomes free again to save the next person or people. Debs, THAT is our job!!!

When one is fostering puppies it can be difficult to let them go but at least you know they're going into a good forever home. But Simon and Magoo are going to be headed out in a few months into the harsh world to fend for themselves. I hope they find someone like Debs who feeds them on a regular basis.

How exciting!! I don’t recall seeing any other cub that young before, though we knew Chip had them. Also it’s sad that some people are so ignorant and cruel to badger you about keeping Simon and Magoo. Most of us understand that would not be fair to them and that they need to go back, and that fox pups grow up into fox adults who can’t be trained like dogs and make terrible pets. We are so happy for the chance to meet these little darlings and grateful to you for caring for them!

Those two crazy little foxes are wild by nature. Once they find the other foxes at St. John's, they'll learn who they are. When they're released into the wild, where they belong, they will adjust and enjoy their lives. It's hard to let go, but it is the right thing to do. ❤

You will always do what is best for them to have full, happy & free fox lives, with other foxes & a family of their own. So, that shows you are the best foster fox mom on the planet! I'm glad we will still be able to follow their journey up until release time. You never know, they may come visit you one day with their furbabies. They will never forget you that much, I'm sure of. It’s nonsensical to think you’d keep the cubs. They’d mark your carpets and chew up the furniture besides it being cruel to them. ❤A new wild cub is just what you need to focus on right now. 😊❤

Yes, it's selfish and cruel to keep a wild animal as a pet. Most will not adapt to being domesticated, and they will end up sad and bmiserable...🤔
