Hey guys! This and the next reaction were pre recorded on the first day I started my journey so there might be similar curiosities I share that could have already been answered on the A Twist of Fate reaction. I didn’t realize how much of a rabbit hole League of Legends was and I appreciate everyone’s input! This is all really just for fun until I finally watch Arcane so not sure if I’ll check out every single release but will for sure check out the ones that are recommended to me while also trying my best to take into consideration the ones that are normally watched together. 1. As It's an early cinematic there is no lore attached to it. There is no main character in it and the choosing of those characters is pretty random ( i am guessing those were the most popular characters in the game at that time). This video shows a typical team battle that takes place many times during a single game of League of Legends. In order to win a game, a team must destroy a building called Nexus. You see it at 7:55 and It's that big crystal thing in the background. 2. At 2:44 You can see Ahri (fox girl) casting a charm spell onto Darius ( the guy with a big axe - my favourite one

both of the cinematics u watched were just showing you how the game is played aka 5v5 battle and the people who were killed respawn in the game until one of the 2 teams destroys the enemy teams nexus(which is also how you win the game) which is the structure shown at the end of this cinematic, so basically these 2 videos didn't have any lore attached to them.

"Awaken" is awesome. :) There's so many that are good. A number of other ones have already been suggested, so I'll say one of my favorites is "Kin of the Stained Blade". The "Tales From Runeterra" videos are for the Legends of Runeterra card game, they made a video from each region of the world. So it's part of the LoL universe/lore but not exactly the same. There are also a series of cinematics from another spinoff game called Wild Rift. Of those, my favs are "Eye of the Beast", "Rise from the Deep", "Thresh Unbound: A Night At The Inn", "Don't Mess With Yordles", and "You Really Got Me". Definitely recommend Awaken for sure! On a side note Warriors, Awaken, The Call, and later this year(most likely) "Still Here" often get featured in the world Championship the year that they come out as a live performance. The above cinematics are a bit different from the two you watched not only in that they are newer, but they also tie into the actual Lore of the world of Runeterra, though they are music style videos so there is no actual dialogue and to fully understand the lore without reading a bunch you can trust the KZbinr, Necrit, to explain the lore of Cinematics 🙂 Warriors does get a bit more exciting after you have watched arcane just because of a tie to characters from the show, but it doesn't really spoil anything if you do watch warriors before Arcane.

all the characters are playable in the game and they are called champions. each champion has their own lore within the world of runeterra but when you play the game you are teleported to a place called summoners rift(or whatever map you’re playing on). the goal of the game is destroy the enemies turrets to eventually destroy their base and their nexus(i giant crystal in each base). throughout the game you have one on one brawls, multiple champ skirmishes, or 5v5 full team brawls. when you die your champion goes on a timer and when it is over you revive and continue playing the game. *Arcane is based on the world story(history/lore) of Runeterra, not the gameplay of League of Legends.

Someone already commented but the Tales of Runeterra is a nice place to start as it goes through each region, the next one that has a self contained story is probably the videos "An ionian myth" and "kin of the stained blade", these should be watched together, but beware, they are quite long ;)

I should add, Awaken and Warrior are lore based, beginning of the year/season cinematics that Riot (LoL creator) creates. There are also World Championships hype videos that are NOT lore based/canon. One of the best is "Rise." Riot also created a few of their own bands. The most popular is K/DA with the two songs "Pop/Stars" and "More." The only thing that could potentially spoil parts of the show Arcane is the Imagine Dragons music video for "Enemy." Watch that either after the season or better yet, between episodes 6 and 7.

within the institute canon, every champion had a live in and out, as the players as summoners the old academy had a lot of mini stories from them some of them got erased in time like the institute itself, other still remains and stronger like the fatal love of the two enemies garen and katarina, the story wasnt much resolved about valorant but about their champions, something that change for good with the events, almost every region have a lore changing event, this one changes the lore, erasing the old institute of war, even thought some still have it, but expanded the lore of the places, for each region i can think of one, some to make it update the lore, some to expand it. when the map changed some lore was explained by it itself because there where times the old map didnt make sense. targon itself wasnt a region in the map, and now the mount targon is one of the most mistery and magic places it have. the setup of piltover and zaun as a single place in map bilgewater and the serpent isles with the rework of gankplank and his event. (almost the only time they kill a champion) demacia forest and petricite, (wasnt a event like the magesekker but set the whole land), and sylas event of mages. shurima arise haworring of the shadow isles for jonia the vastaya update, im not sure if the war existed in institute of war times noxus trifarix, that was from sion to swaim to update everything until darking saga the void and the fall of the ascended. and bandle city plane change

Awaken is definetly a must see! All of the characters you see in these videos are champions that exist in the games. The game its self is basically team vs team fighting game. Each character has an extensive lore created for them.

Hey there again with a new league cinematic! Let me help you out a bit with informations: First League of Legends isnt a game where u progress a story or something so we cant really talk about main characters. Its an 5vs5 arena style match on a fixed map where players pick one of over 150 different champions. This cinematic is basicly displaying a normal match where the target is to beat the oponent team by destroying their nexus building. It is the building u see in the moment when they look down at the end. The game itself is played in a top down perspective so it doesnt really look liek this cinematics. It is a little more complex but this should give u some kind of impression what LoL actualy is. The game has a giant lore background, every character has a backstory and (well most of em) fit into the universe and when u watch Arcane u come to see a tiny piece of it. The to answer a few questions, Ahri, the foxgirl, has switching eyecolors because she used one of her abilitys, charm, to seduce her oponent or in this case more to provoke them. Good displayed here to provoke them to protect Leona, the golden armored girl as she saw that she was still alive after Darius (Big guy with the axe) has "dunked" her, it was his ultimate ability to execute enemys. As i told on your Twist of Fate reaction, they try to show the characters abilitys in the cinematic and they do a great job at it, even if u as a non player may not be able to recognize them. As u mentioned the next one is everything goes on. U shouldnt watch it, its the last installment they made in a bigger series of the Star Guardian skin series and u should watch them on chronological order if u re interested in the story and characters behind it it is even more important to not watch the newest cinematics and music videos first.

Hello i recommend first the "Tales of Runeterra" cinematics showing the main areas of League of Legends world. Then the "Warriors" Season 2020 cinamatic, after "The path an Ionian Myth" and the "Kin of the stained blade" cinematics these two in that order (these were the cinematics of the Spirit blossom event in 2020). After the Ruination and the Sentinels of Light cinematics which has a longer list I will write down later, but maybe there is a good KZbin playlist for it. There is a book I recommend too. It's the Ruination by Anthony Reynolds, it's got a strong connection with the Ruination cinematics and the event in 2021 😄 Of course there are more good videos from the creators of Lol, but even that list isn't short now

All those are champions this was not the lore ( story ) cinematic it was more of what the real 5 v 5 game looks like . To understand more about the lore behind league of legends i would suggest cheking out Necrit's videos he explains it best . Also there is no good guys and bad guys in this for example ( spoilers alert about some lore ) that fox girl ( ahri ) who can be seen as a helpless person is a vastaya ( half animal half human ) and she lives by literally sucking the souls out of people, once in her hunger she killed her own lover . ( Not so good now is it 😅 )

Awaken, KDA pop stars, Arcane show, hearsteel, true damage(doesn't matter much but after arcane imo), the Annie cinematic. Obviously Arcane. And anything animated by Fortiche because they're collaboration with riot is amazing (also after arcane). The main lore and world are pretty massive. The short cinematics for legends of runeterra (a riot game that shares the same lore as league of legends) give a more cohesive glimpse into different parts of the world. The arcane show, which I recommend highest in terms of story, tells the story if a hand-full of characters.

Well I just saw the recommendations and one of the cinematics, which is called "Still here" is an amazing cinematic, but I would recommend getting the lore of characters like "Kindred" first, otherwise you ll likely enjoy the music and the animation, but have A LOT of questions regarding to what is actually happening. In my eyes the cinematic doubles in value if you know what is actually happening there.

One thing I really like about the lore is that there are very few clear cut good guys and bad guys. Most champions just are who they are for better or worse. They each have their own goals, their own motivations. In game, the player is called a summoner. This is because in the old lore, champions were summoned to fight in place of soldiers going to war. There's a magical battlefield called Summoner's Rift, where if a champion is killed, they are revived to fight again in their base. The summoner would be able to control the champion's actions, whether they were willing or not, and some voice lines reflect that some of the champions are very not. These would be the monstrous champions like Fiddlesticks, a literal demon possessing a scarecrow, which you saw in Twist of Fate. Or Nocturne, the living embodiment of nightmares, which you also saw in Twist of Fate. They were imprisoned at the Institute of War because they were too dangerous to be set free. A trait that would come in handy on the battlefield. Everyone in this video is a playable champion. Each with their own personality, lore, and goals. I recommend a lore video reaction!

So league of legends is a 5 v 5 battle arena, and there are no set teams. The characters you see are just on random teams and all are main characters ( everyone you saw is playable) or in LoL terms “champions”.

They rarely kill champions in their cinematics since most of them are canon to the lore, but this one isn't.

The lore behind league of legends was definitely reverse-engineered long after the game and many of the characters had been around, and Arcane is sort of the final product of that. They've managed to create something really special out of their originally non-cohesive building blocks and it's only gotten better and better as the years go by.

The game has nothing to do with the lore unfortunately. Think of it as there's a pseudo-pantheon of ten gods who each chose someone they deem a legend from the world of Runeterra. Then they pit them against each other in combat, kinda like a simulator. The lore is huge though and fantastic, they actually have a couple of games now and a few of them actually explore it a little bit. Love the reactions!

Story is like 99% irrelevant in game. They all have personalities and will rarely have voice lines when matched with/against others. The game is just pvp, pick who you want, go at it. The story started early when the game launched, then disappeared, then got revamped and turned into a world or lore.
