Multifunctional lots would be a dream come true. I really hope you're right! I've been wanting to combine restaurants, cafes, spas, etc. with other lot types for ages.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could make malls work like rental units do where each store could just be a different "lot" but on the same building where the food court could be community and little stores!!!

​@@natasha9474Actually no, this would be a loading screen nightmare. I would want something where everything could be live and active on lot or there is no point in them all being on the same lot. All you really need is a cash register that triggers an NPC and that NPC could only 'sell' certain types of items or services depending on what you assign to the cash register. Then it's up to the player to close off each store. It would sort of work like the square in henford on Bagley. I think a live-in business would only need an open/close business trigger and the player to lock off the living space from shoppers/patrons. It does not need a whole system like For Rent For rent is buggy and barely works it would be a terrible system to add retail or anything else to. With an open/close trigger (could be a door or sign) it would just trigger Sims to patronize without needing to 'change' lots, which is what you do in for Rent. You have to 'travel' between micro-lots.

They said lots of different items across all packs. Enough to fill in a 30x20 lot. And some of them hang on walls. I think this either has something to do with decor/clutter or countertops/cabinets. My guess is another swatch update, improved sorting for items, or fundamentally changing how countertop/cabinet swatches work where we can choose them separately (yeah, in my dreams).

I just had a thought about this. What if it's some kind of recolouring tool like we had in Sims 3? That would be HUGE. They could be putting items from various packs in a room and recolouring them to make them match.

Probably not gonna happen but something I really want is to be able to change swatches on items the way we were able to in TS2 (like change the counter and counter top seperately if that makess any sense).

When they try to add something that we want, the result is often broken and/or underwhelming. Also, remember the time when they promised us a swell surprise and it was a login reward feature for the miserable freemium game that ts4 is today? Sometimes they get it right, but not very often, and I sure am not holding my breath.

hmmm i wonder if they are adding indoor plants functionality?? like then you can take care of the plants you buy in house buy mode. like maybe they will now turn brown and die if they dont get watered or something lol idk. and so the guru is going through all the plants and tagging them for "living" life idk. plants that dont produce things they just live for your delight

multifunctional lots would actually make sense at this point in time. If it works similar to the for rent pack, you could designate certain areas of the lot to be a certain type. They would already have the game code figured out, it's just a matter of making a few adjustments

As much as I WANT multifunctional lots, I don't think that's what it is. That would involve coding for lots and how they work and lot types and (as far as I can guess) wouldn't involve ITEMS since they have nothing to do with how a lot functions. You know what WOULD involve every item the game has? Colour wheel. Which is my guess. And the "you can X as well as X" is use a colour wheel to custom colour as well as make your own patterns. I feel this fits better. I'd personally prefer multi-funcitonal lots though.

I'd love a shopping centre, and sims queue at the tills, as being a x box player again limited to what we can get. Also I'd love a royal family that I could use be lots of fun, love the videos and what mystery is coming next. Love the sims though still , there entertaining us through boring days.

Off topic: Is anyone else's family trees bugging out? I've lost two deceased sims that were there before. They didn't have kids, but they were always on there up till now with their siblings. I'm scared to play now.

Are they completely gone from the tree or is their picture deleted? If it's the latter then that's normal. When sims die they can be culled from the game if you don't take the necessary precautions to exclude them from culling (i.e. strengthening their connection to the physical world).

​​@@zacharykhan8556Completely gone from the game. With MC command center you can see their ghosts and summon them, but they've disappeared from that too. I released their spirits a while ago and they were always there until now. If it's due to a bug from the update I have a backup just in case.
