A new home in paradise? Several weeks ago, we visited a couple living in the mountains that had lots of love but not enough space - and just look what they built, all by themselves! Nothing in life is written in stone, he will only end up being broke hearted…and to think 🤔 that he agrees with you Sir, sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. I’m married to a Filipina for the last 6 years, but I have boots on the ground, if you know what I mean. Would You like if things are done to you by others, or to be proud of it. I would not, and I mean it, for me it is difficult even ask help, even payd one. Yeah I`m living in Finland, different climate than you, in 10 years older house than I am, and I turned 66 this midsummer, stil trying to do everything myself, with really bad back, asthma, and some other things.And no central heating, 3 woodtsowes, 1 for cooking, so some 15 cubicmeters of wood goes to heating this house for winter only + is I can cook with it also. I would like to live in filippines, somewere countryside, near some village to get basic foods, and of course with small garden to grow on weggies, solarpanels on roof for radio, phone and internet? Have You turned too much as city/western girl? and really forgotten how most of people still lives.

This is a very heart-warming video. In Western society there is too much "Keeping up with the Joneses" mentality where one has to show off by buying the biggest house, the newest car, etc. This family reminds me of "The Waltons", a popular television show in the 1970s that stressed good family values.

Decent jobs are drying up, fresh college graduates can’t find good jobs. Commercial buildings in San Francisco are empty and most stores are closed. Western societies are dying, France is burning, Europe in recession. America is in deep debt and keeps printing money.

I'm so happy to see this family again! As a building contractor of million dollar houses. I love what this family did! I am moving, retiring to the Philippines in the near future. I have seen the other videos with this family and I'm so so glad they didn't fall into life trappings of America or the big city ways! Causing them to need more financial resources to upkeep that lifestyle. So happy for this family! Westerners should take note! They have so much. 1. A view! Which they have. 2 Privacy! Which they have. 3 And area for a garden to plant healthy foods! Which they have. But the biggest thing they have is family and love! I was so worried and commented on the last video not to go to the other side of things where the house would cause more financial burdens than the provided comfort is worth. God bless this family!

Nothing more humbling than a little perspective on how some people live so joyfully within true simplicity while others in the world complain that they have it "difficult". I have been looking forward to the update on their new house. Thank you for bringing it to us. Here in the U.S people build or buy way more house than they need...spend 30+ years paying for it and spend everyone of those years complaining about the house payments and not making enough money. Fact is if they had settled for something smaller and more simple they would have it paid for sooner and they would have money left over. I knew of a couple that built their own house. It took about 3 years but when they moved in it was paid for. They still live in it and have not had to worry about mortgage payments.

When I was a young child, we used to build forts like this to play in. We even built one in a tree . I can't begin to image doing the same as an adult with a family.

Pea: It's so awesome that you've helped this family and so many others with the blessings you earn from your channel. It is also so interesting to see how different, and unique the Philippine culture is from that which I am used to in Canada. Around here, their family home would be considered just a back yard play shack for kids in the summertime, whereas for them it is as close to their dream home as they could see they needed. It's great that they not only designed it for themselves, but built to as a family as well, making it true to their style and needs. Personally I think if they were to receive a home like the ones in the major cities, I doubt they would know how some of the modern amenities work and probably be too shy to attempt to use them at all. Sometimes there are people who just like things to be as simple as possible because I believe they think that the more simple something is, the less chance it's going to fail on them. Here in the west, there are so many people that wouldn't even step foot into that house, because of a pre conceived notion that they are better than the people that live in houses like that, but the reality is that the family living in that house, knows how to work smart and hard, earn what they get, and reap what they sow. Which sadly so many people here in the west have long since forgotten to hand those traits down the pipeline of the generations. Next time you go and visit that family again, give them a big greeting and send my best wishes for a life of Peace, Unconditional Love, and Eternal Happiness for m, OK.

My Mother was born and raised very poor in Oklahoma more than 100 years ago , she passed away in 1996 with heart problems .She told me stories about the sound of the rain on the tin roof of their dirt floor shack.Many years later living with my father in huge big beautiful homes in Calif she would take an old metal baking sheet and place it outside their bedroom window to replicate the sound of rain on a metal roof while they were sleeping at night.. Her Father was half American Indian and always wore a 6 gun on his hip and still used a horse and wagon to move them from shack to shack in the 1920's and 30's in Oklahoma.
