@@TheFilipinaPea About 8 years ago I drove the bus carrying Ballet Manila from St. Louis, MO to Nashville, TN. Around Paducah, Ky we got caught in the remnants of a hurricane that came ashore in the southern states. By the time it made it as far inland as we were, it was a tropical depression, but it was the first time I ever saw rain fall sideways. We made it though. A few years later I drove a group from the Philipeans on a college tour here in St. Louis and then proceeded to Lake of the Ozarks, MO. I made many friends on that trip.

Hi Pea. I’ve been to all 50 states due to my job. Just keep in mind that there is no one typical place….they are all similar in some ways but very different in others. You may need more than one trip to get a feel for the different regions. I imagine the Philippines to be the same way. Can’t wait to visit toward the end of the year. Love you!

Pea your in the honeymoon phase of your visit. The curtain is there. Everywhere is fast food that is unhealthy and makes people fat. Everyone always in a rush. Everything is very expensive over here. People hardly having any children due to constant conflict between the genders. Remember pea is exotic in USA and almost like super model. It’s like when a westerner goes to phillipines but in reverse.

BUT... there is a HUGE advantage that immigrants to the U.S. have: They are not burdened with the social, psychological and emotional baggage that most Americans carry. From the outside looking in, you would never know how Americans have been indoctrinated to hate each other. Nor can you care. This is why Immigrants can do so well economically here, in conjunction with the "arbitrage" of the U.S. dollar when sending "remittances" back home. Although you may have already returned, I would ask that you visit ANY hospital in the U.S., there is a 100% chance that you will run into one of your Filipina sistas (50% of nurses here are Filipina) . They can really tell you what their experience is in actually living here (not just visiting as a tourist). Conversely, this is the same advantage that Americans have when living in another Country. If you do get down to Florida, I'd recommend visiting St. Augustine, the oldest city in the USA. It has lots to do and see. Even many different foods to try. Also I'd recommend visiting during the cooler months (October thru about January) because it's normally less crowded and not as hot.

Hello Pea, having followed you for over a year, you are one of the most honest, funny and genuine vloggers out of the Philippine's. I was raised in NY (now on the west coast) yet go back to visit. For an unforgettable sight to see, find your way to Circle Line on the west side of Manhattan and take the cruise (or 1/2cruise) as dusk. See the sun go down as the city lights come up. I've been to the Philippines, Duma, Siquijor, Cebu, San Carlos, and for sure has incredible beauty in its onw right. But NYC, like no place on earth....welcome and enjoy your stay!

Hey Pea, another fantastic video. Thank you. You should visit a few National Parks while you’re in the USA. The West Coast has the tallest and oldest trees on our planet. They are huge. (The bristle cone pine tree is actually the oldest, but they aren’t much to look at). Yellowstone National Park is something that will blow your mind, a must see. Check a few out. Please!

As an Asian American Please be aware and be careful where you go. Always stay alert and be aware of your surroundings. NYC is not as safe as you may think especially the subways. There are crazies all over the place. As long as your not by yourself with more than one person you should be ok.

We have a lot more crazy going on in the US after the pandemic. More drug abusers with mental health issues (caused by their drug abuse), police officers not doing as much as they used to due to multiple issues, homelessness through the roof, and an increase of racial prejudice due to racists being emboldened by a certain individual in politics.

The Cebu-Mactan Airport where I first landed was nice and clean, not overwhelming with people as you described Manila. Hope you can make here to California, we have quite a large, active Filipino community here. Lancaster PA is a great Amish community to visit, especially the open market areas. My grand parents lived there. Holmes County Ohio is near my home and has the largest Amish community in the USA! Please visit either place for a great experience!

Fun Fact, even the Philippines have Mennonites now. But hey, on the other hand, quite a lot in the rural areas in the Philippines live like that: Walang kuryente and very devout. And, happy. The ones who have gone to the city but couldnt make it there, have it the worst. On the countryside, you have at least buko and so on.

I’m thinking this was filmed while she was still in the Philippines, those kind of candies would be very easy to stick into a suitcase or a balakbyan box (spelling lol) from somebody traveling with her i.e. a boyfriend, etc. The person holding the camera in the airport is probably traveling with her, and it would be increasingly hard to get two Filipinas at the same time to leave on the same trip, she might be traveling with her boyfriend she met in the Philippines and he’s showing her his country. Either way, I hope she has fun and I look forward to the next videos. As American myself, it’ll be interesting to see some of her opinions and takes.
