In good light, the GoPro looked better to me in almost all of the clips. The Insta360 definitely won in low light and audio though.

yep, I found myself stopping the video multiple times to compare the details and the gopro is much better. IDK if it's the inbuilt sharpening or lack of on the Ace Pro 2 but the gopros footage was better. That low light performance tho...

Man I feel like the newer action cams nowadays are pretty good! I think it’s splitting hairs at this point but I can definitely see what’s better about the new Insta.

Not sure if it's just my eyes, but the GoPro's video looks better at fast action scenes. The ground seems to lose a little detail (more blurring) on the AcePro vs the GoPro. On slower/still scenes the AcePro looks better, specially in darker areas because of the larger sensor. Edit: Does it have an overheating problem?

Yes. And its the same with DJI. They might have more light, but overall image quality in decent light is way worse to the point that i rather have more GoPro batteries and cool it with the fan instead of going other way

@@ClippinPedals There is never perfect solution. I rather put my GoPro to power bank and the fan and than I can record 4 hour training session in 5.3k 60fps with no problem. None of those action cams can work on high frame rate without airflow.

The dynamic range and low light performance looks much better with the Ace Pro 2. Much more detail in the shadows

GoPro with Wide angle lens still slays for MTB footage. Love the built in windscreen but I just wish more companies would take GoPro approach of the wide angle lens.

Strange that the grass looked better on the gopro to me,. But the leafs on the fence are 1billion% better on the ace pro 2. Overall I would like to see if you can get a less "bright" video from the ace pro 2. But that just might be a me thing. Edit 1:Honest my best opinion is, The Ace Pro 2 feels more "real" and the GoPro 13 feels more like a video..... If that makes any sense. Edit 2: Now lets see vs the DJI!

The FOV is the best I've seen from an action cams. OA5 looks like someone punched the lens, fish-eyed it, and then squashed it...

The colors on Insta360 are more bright and too distracting for me. GoPro have warmer colors and the view seems more cinematic. Keep in mind why some people like old movies. Maybe they were lower quality resolution but they had their climate. Higher resolution might be distracting sometimes because human eye see more things and analysing too much that's why i feel more distracted. 4k is enough for me.

I can't help it... but it doesn't matter if it's Action 5 or Ace Pro 2, as soon as speed comes into play it gets muddy.... I think that's why GoPro is just sticking with this old sensor. The Hero13 delivers a more detailed image at higher speeds.

Exactly. Other cameras are just good for Vlogging etc. The real actions stuff is for GoPro.

Kinda annoying/sad that Insta has bribed all these KZbinrs to sing the praises of this cam, rather than posting an unbiased review and letting peeps decide. Bought myself a Gopro, still the best daylight footage.

@@Vanadium never had a shutdown in 3 years on my 9 or 11...only issue is with the stupid remote control units that used to lockup the 9 before a firmware fix 2 years ago

@@alphasportstv I never had any gopro other then the hero 3 that did not shutdown by it self without being empty. I did look at the reviews of the new hero and man, even the review samples of a few dudes did shut down after 5mins or sometimes even instant. That is just so bad.

it was a slower shutter speed in that shot, I do know that the latest firmware is supposed to hopefully fix some of those things. But I haven't been able to test it all again yet

daylight insta always sucks, some youtubers are just straight up liars when it come to this things just saying its better than go pro but since the first insta they always have shitty footage on daylight.

Weird that with log and lut the gopro almost looks like it was filming in the matrix with the green tint, especially when you were filming on the road. The insta log and lut almost looked dull, but maybe the pnw looked like that when you filmed.

This camera looks interesting. Can I ask how the touch screen is to handle? Because the GoPro touchscreen menu just sucks. Also, how's the battery life in cold temperatures, like around freezing? These are my only two concerns.

Insta all the way. I bought the first Gen GoPro at Mission Raceway, they’ve come a long way but the 360 is badass. I hope GoPro steps up and gives us something better

The only thing the ace pro really wins in is the low light recording, it actually gets proper colours. If you are recording in normal light most the time the go pro will look better as seen in the video

Really enjoy your content, and thanks for this video. Can you perhaps consider to do some reels/shorts, in which you use some content recorded in 16:9 horisontal mode, and convert it into 9:16 for Instagram? Currently I cant find ANYONE, who showcases this... And this is all thats keeping me from buying one.

The preset/contrast on the insta360 is a bit washed out but I think it can be solved by customizing the preset tho it might be a pain in the butt😅

I don't like GoPro, I'd get myself a DJI. And I was really interested in this Ace 2 Pro. Side by size daylight conditions seems to be better on a gopro, it seems to be more crisp in almost every scene, especially first slomo jump :(

tip: always choose 30 fps when shooting fast action shots because it offers more motion blur and overall smoother video

GoPro is the real action cameras guys. Other cameras are good for vlogging and not speed stuff. Slow motion video sees ace pro 2 blurred while GoPro retaining quality.
