I think it's more because of racial segregation. Hashim himself stated that Arab Indonesians and others are also economically better than most Indonesians, but the sentiments are only towards Chinese.

@@GoodMan377 correct. it was actually dutch colonial legacy. the dutch puts chinese, arabs and other foreign origin as a second class citizens above the then indonesian natives which was third class citizens.

@@rehanfauzan4623 its actually not dutch colonial legacy. its the Soeharto regime and its sentiment towards chinese people. since Indonesian usually correlate Chinese with Communism, and Anti-Communism policy, Soeharto promote that sentiment even further as a weapon in case there's someone who want to challenge him on government. that stereotype still exist even today mostly on rural area

Brian superbly perform well. His knowledge about Indonesia's update in global stage, the way he ask about nation's values, and indonesia's position in new economic order with china and usa were outstanding! Yet, hashim answers it all precisely and i believe could answer international's doubt about Indonesia's future. Such a heavy weight interview and very informative!

Wawancara yang dilakukan cukup substantif dan "to the point", mudah bagi saya untuk mencerna informasi yang saya cari, yaitu direksi pemerintahan Prabowo dari wawancara ini dibandingkan mencari dari sumber-sumber berita lokal di Indonesia. Media - media Indonesia saya rasa belum ada yang menggunakan teknik seperti ini, banyak kegiatan wawancara yang tidak terfokus pada substansi sehingga itu hilang dalam "gimmick-gimmick" yang tidak perlu. Ini perlu dicontoh oleh media-media yang ada di Indonesia.

Honestly, this is the first time to hear Mr. Hashim clearly talks about Indonesian's obstacles in moving forward. I think he addressed it well that the most urgently required now is how to eradicate the corruption and how to strengthen the law enforcement. Saya setuju banget dengan beliau.

Ribuan km jalan tol, puluhan airport dan pelabuhan, ribuan uu birokrasi dihapus, kartu indonesia sehat, kartu indinesia pintar, hubungan diplomatik dengan luar negri lebih baik, koruptor lebih banyak yg ketahuan ngga dilindungi kayak pemerintahan2 sebelumnya, puluhan rumah sakit daerah, vaksin gratis buat seluruh rakyat indonesia, bunga bank untuk kpr dan umkm lebih rendah, pajak umkm 0.5% sudah hampir 10 tahun. Programnya jarang mangkrak, berani inves di ikn untuk masa depan lebih baik, kalau nunggu jakarta tenggelam baru pindah itu namanya goblok.

Gilak, Prabowo berjiwa besar bgt ternyata Dia menangkap sumber masalah kerusuhan di Indonesia itu krn ketimpangan sosial, jd dia cari jalan keluarnya dengan hal2 realistis seperti makanan gratis untuk anak, ibu hamil dan menyusui..mengingat rata2 IQ orang Indonesia di bawah standar yg dimaksud mereka dengan "stunting", jd harapan mereka dengan gizi yg baik masyarakat bisa lbh berkontribusi terhadap perkembangan negeri sehingga kesenjangan sosial bisa sedikit demi sedikit tidak terlalu terjal Pdhal keluarga prabowo dr keluarga kaya tp mau cape2 mikirin sampe ngambil langkah realistis buat masyarakat kelas bawah Seperti kata Pak Hashim ini, "klo dibilangin sosialis yah biarin aja" seolah2 istilah sosialis itu sekedar istilah bikinan barat yg sebenarnya Indonesia ya tetap Indonesia tidak peduli dengan istilah2 bikinan org asing 😅😂
