A nice little project. Have you used an underlay for the track? I have used Foamboard but wonder if it really helped. Once the ballast was glued in any cushioning the foam might have imparted was destroyed!

Good stuff James, very fast building and it has the feel of Welsh Narrow Gauge, I've sent the link to Malcolm who, of course, is a great fan of narrow gauge modelling.

That's a great looking layout, I've just watched it with my grandson (12) he's very impressed with it, as he's planning to build a 009 layout in the near future. At the moment, he's building kits to go on it. I'm sure he'll be filming his progress and adding it to his Dylington Model Railway channel. He films his 00 guage model railway for his channel at the moment, of which he's doing a nice job. The latest one 'A BUSY Day In Dylington', has done some nice stop-motion animation on it. We're looking forward to seeing future updates of this new layout, and he's subscribed ... Cheers James

Lon Brockwell, which is welsh for Brockwell Lane, more or less. Or Bach a Cul which is welsh for small and narrow?

No I do like them its just these were cheaper at the time.
