I wrote an insect simulation system in compiler BASIC at school in 1983! Unreal its taken this long to appear but my God is this fast! I wonder how far you can push Blender in terms of population? BTW if you select something and press full stop (period) then it frames the selected object and you can reduce your view distance (N panel on the right) to get in closer to objects
