I usually know when a trap isn't going to work. But I had a little hope that this one would work. I knew that mice could escape through the cracks, but I wanted to see if a rat would get into this trap. It didn't work.

Hello Shawn. I totally love your channel, and I’m currently designing my own trap. I have a helpful tip for your viewers. In the case of mice jumping out of buckets. If a tall bucket is not available, you just cut the bottom out of a bucket and put it in another one. You might even be able to stack enough buckets to keep a rat from jumping out. Cheers.

I've used traps similar to that. The mice figure it out eventually and don't enter. Or they did what the mouse did in this video. Or they figure out how to open the thing from the inside.

Just saw a video from PINE MEADOWS and they were talking about mixing equal parts cornmeal and baking soda (no water) and letting mice and rats eat them. The soda reacts with the acid in the rodent's stomach and dies. No poison. Would you be able to make a video on that?

I know you don't have a smart phone and avoid them like the plague. Check if your wife's phone has a translate app. E.g. Google Translate or Apple Translate using the camera feature. These may need internet connection while using though.

1:45 TF?! 🤣 The trap was so bad that they didn't even bother with the main entertainer because that would have been too easy. Just another example of Chinese engineering. They make great products when they are forced to hold up to Western company standards, but on their own they tend to move fast to duplicate others' designs and not bother with any testing or ignore the results.
