Good to see and hear from you! @ least you got away with a conventional system vs. a mound system. I have a $26,000 back yard - ouch. How about an updated video on the overall house project? What could be seen in this video - looks pretty good!

@@Askmediy Actually I live quite a bit further away - midwest. Home includes 17 acres and few thousand ft' of River Frontage which is kind of the why of the mound system as well as the county here decided over a decade ago and regardless of perk test - pretty much mound systems everywhere since they are not paying for it. Very very rare a conventional goes in. Anxious to see what your home looks like now after working on it solo for a year....

Interesting video Dom. I've only seen the septic systems where it's basically a big tank under the ground that collects the waste and needs to be pumped out regularly. They're not elaborate like this one since they don't have that kind of space available.

Oh my god, yes. Been like that for two days. But after closing this septic up we went out for dinner, and bam it came back lol.

In Wisconsin we have to pump out every 3 years by law - tracked and enforced by the county. Seems a bit excessive. The only reason that I can think of for doing that is to inspect them often and catch the old, failing systems early (we have a lot of those).

Then it would be a very different system. Something that is called “mats” but this system is bigger because the perk test wasn’t the greatest. So it has to be that big

No bleach, I didn't know that, I will stop using bleach, I use Rid-x every month and haven't had to pump My septic tank since I moved here 17 years ago and no problems yet! Thanks Askmediy!
