Love this. I know Aaron said several months ago he had another batch of Smoulder macerating to be released this year, but a few weeks later he said he changed his mind. Hate that he must have dumped out that concentrate, but love that you all have decided to do this. I always thought it was a bit of a shame that there were so many people that missed it. Hoping he will double the quantity this time - or maybe keep it around for a few months like he does his other seasonal limited releases (like High Voltage).

My favorite from Aaron are Arabica (my favorite coffee dominant frag by far) and Blood Orange (which doesn't smell like oranges). Have back up bottle on both.

Smoulder is in my top 2 fragrances of all time, there is just something about it and I cannot get enough - which is annoying because I have to be so frugal with it. I love your thought’s on a spicy opening. I’ve just returned from the Lake District and I purchased a small 12ml bottle of bath house slate it’s a lovely scent the top notes are cardamom and peppercorn middle note leather and base notes labdanum oudh vetiver and sandalwood. Proving you don’t always need bergamot as an opening. Hope all works out and you create something together which will hopefully better your 1st release.

I'd love to see cade oil being moved into Smoulder 2.0 to smoke it out even more! Mix that with some spice or liquorice (a note that I'm fairly new to but I love it) in the opening and I think you'll be on to a winner! 😁 You can also add some strong animalic musks to the base, such as castoreum to give it a leathery tone. That will work beautifully with the patchouli that's in the base of the old formulation!

smoulder2 would be amazing to have something like Killian's Angels share but with a bit of smoke throughout it. i layered mine a few times with replica's by the fireplace and smells great on a cold autumn/winter night

In south east asia, people used to chew tobacco with nutmeg, honey combined with betal leave and many spices like clove, cardamon, etc. And it is so popular that this tradition has existed for over many hundred of years and became a culture. May u should try nutmeg and spices rather than vanilla. Tobacco vanilla combination is so common. So ... yeah. Just my opinion.
