I get archers to protect his horsemen from spears.. but shouldnt he have built crossbowmen to help against OOTD units?

love the OOTD gameplay. however i think that that switch to income from villager numbers makes it harder to recreate the build, maybe switch closer to 10 minutes than 4 or 5?
