DGR, remember, PROGRESSIVE POWERUPS are a thing. If you're small, it gives you a Mushroom, and if you're not small, it gives you something else. To make one, you simply drag a mushroom onto a different powerup. It's even been a thing in SMM1.

The way the level detected your power up was by using progressive power ups. If you were small Mario it turned into a mushroom and blocked your path with the muncher, but if you were big or fire Paris it turned into a fire flower and didn’t block the path

7:49 It is not a glitch, it is actually intentionally in the level editor. When you select a power up (for example, fire flower), hold down on the power up and select the mushroom. When you are small Mario/Luigi/Toad/Toadette, a mushroom flower pops out. When you have a super mushroom equipped or something else, the fire flower comes up. It's called a progressive power-up. I hate knowing that a lot of people don't know this.

A setting available on mushrooms is that you can put it so when you already have a mushroom, it can be another power up, like in the original smb games. So because the fireflower is normally immobile, it won’t hit the note. Just wanted to clear up for anyone confused

The powerup checker was made by placing a progressive powerup and if you have eng powerup it turns to a fire flower. If no powerup, it turns to a mushroom which on the ground moves around and hits a note block and blocks you path. That path you were wanting to check, the hole in the wall with the bomb in it was a powerup check were it did that but the note block blew up the bomb instead. And I think the Monty mole was glitch cause it looked like it was trying to put it on the same layer as the vine.

DGR, the fire flower check is because the fire flower is a progressive powerup, if you come in as small mario it's a mushroom but if you're big mario or fire flower/super leaf mario it'll be a fire flower
