Question regarding the rules: how long do players have to check a square? I notice that alexp defeated Creature with spells in the second match at around 1:56:41, but didn't check the square until 1:57:33. Was that just a side effect of you checking the other stream or did they check the square nearly a minute afterward? Don't think that should affect the outcome of the match, but thought I'd check.

When this was discussed on stream, I think it is whoever clicks the square first. If the player forgets to click it immediately after completing it, it is the player's fault.

Hello, DB, can I suggest do not lock the center square? Locking the center square makes everyone rush to it. The overall difficulty of the board should be based on the center square, from free, Collect Cube of Zoe, passing through, medium, Collect all Familiar Cards, to Hard, Kill Galamoth.

I'd say that even though it's an important square, rushing to get the central square can be dangerous if the other player uses that time to get other squares instead of rushing for the middle one

Why do speedrunners waste time going up the hidden staircase in prologue with Richter just to grab 1 heart? I mean you need it to be fast so why not go straight to Dracula? I mean they just waste a few hearts while Dracula is spawning to fight you before they unleash the rain. Like they waste the same amount of hearts that they got from the said hidden staircase if not more.

In vanilla SotN, you get a Neutron Bomb for starting the prologue Dracula fight with over 40 hearts and you get a Heart Refresh for finishing that fight with 0 hearts. In the randomizer the Neutron Bomb and Heart Refresh are shuffled for two other [USE] items, but those items could be something advantageous like a Library Card or Manna Prism, so it's still worth going for.
