Recently started a new hobby, ring making. Was just buying ring blanks and doing my own inlays, but deiced to make a couple from scratch. One out of maple went great. The other out of titanium, copper and carbon fiber. Turned everything on my lathe and went together without a hitch. Pretty pleased with them

A few days ago while I was driving my Lasernut, I got tired of it blowing the front tires off all the time, so I took the center diff out and ran to Wal-Mart and grabbed a $3 pack of swimmers silicon ear plugs. I drained all the old fluid out and stuffed it as full as I could with it holding about three of em, now that diff is tighter than a banjo string and it’s a wheelie machine. Worked better than I thought it would.

Just completed a RBX10 Ryft kit build. Dyed the cage in frost grey and went with a Gulf racing livery on the panels and interior. Added the VP Tank (orange) 2.2 wheels. I must say it looks better than I had imagined. Thats my "things went right" story.

Sabre! My first static model came out fantastic. I tried a bunch of new things. Static Grass, Foam landscape bases even made scale leaves and it all just worked.

The FTXbrand is owned by CML Distribution, a UK based model distribution company who also distributes throughout Europe. They don't manufacture anything themselves and if you know about the bigger Chinese manufacturers you can usually workout where they came from, usually either HSP, HaiBoXjng, FS Racing or River Hobby. The FTX Stinger is unique to FTX, with their own wider chassis and body, but it's based on the HSP Hispeed GT touring car.

Squash Van. I think Tamiya wanted it to be related to the Midnight Pumpkin. On the pumpkin, you have the "same same but different" pumpkin on the door. Both are the same F-100 look-a-like. Unimogen is nice. Since Axial won't do it again, other companies are using the demand to do it instead. I hope Axial will make it again. Many call the UMG10 the "Unicorn of Axial". We in Europe want it to be available again. The Unimog is an icon here. Unfortunately, it is probably what the home market wants that is done. But now the Americans have realized what the Unimog is and want it. Unfortunately too late. Just hope Axial realizes what a mistake they made to remove it. More "moggs" to the scale crawlers in Europe! 🏁🤘😎🤘 🇸🇪

I’ve been practicing CAD/3D printing with RC builds. Recently I got an engineering technician position at the company I work for. I designed a fixture that worked just they way I imagined it on the first print. It’s like shooting a bullseye first shot or landing a trick first try. Thanks for the fusion tips!

I painted a gozer body. Paint went on great , holes were perfect. Whole thing done in one afternoon. I was surprised it all went to easy. I like the cross rc mog.

To answer the question I really can't think of anything 😅 I just let things happen and adjust fire as needed and it usually turns out pretty good. Side note: I would love to see the budget builds going again.

I helped my buddy put a receiver hitch on his Subaru Outback and being a vehicle from 2012 I was sure we would have issues. Not one vender clip was snapped and not a single rust bolt decided to let go. Even the wiring harness went without a “hitch”. Granted it’s a small project but sometimes those ones fight the hardest.

Had bought a scx24 and after upgrading it, i had enough parts that i just needed some new elects and a i have 2 mini crawlers now for about 250$ the second needs some upgrades but it runs and drives just fine!

I enjoy your channel, and especially look forward to the weekly SNU on Tuesdays. However, I feel you dis’s Cross (Oshkosh) - while they may not have the most sophisticated web site around they are very responsive, helpful and offer a personalized service that you don’t find at any of the larger names (Traxxas, Axial, Vanquish, etc.). The quality and detail of their RTR and kits is very good and they offer products that aren’t just the same platform over and over with a different body. Dealing with them keeps me in touch with what this hobby used to be about - a customer connection and not just a business.

To answer the question at the end, I recently swapped my minimally used X-Maxx for an SCX6 which looked like it had never been run. Myself and the other guy were both going to sell our trucks to buy what the other already had, so it worked out great for both of us. I'm not sure who of the two of us was more stoked lol.

It's 1/10 with the same wheelbase/body mounts as a CC-02 so It looks to me like are trying to make a modernized WT-01N using a stretched out GF-01

In 2007 or 2008 my house was robbed. Pretty much cleaned out other than big furniture. Had a R/C room set up. It was all gone. Insurance had me list everything. I stopped at 25k. There was a lot more but I thought it was to much. I really couldn't believe it added up to that much. Luckily I had binders with the manual to everything. Submitted copys to the Insurance and they purchased everything from my local hobby town. Crazy how fast it all adds up.

The last thing that went just right was my Ricky Bobby car body I did for my TT02 speed run car. I thought it was going to fight me a little but it turned out to be fairly quick and painless. Of course it isn't perfect but I have never done a prefect one yet!

This past weekend I worked on tiling the kitchen floor. If there was a way for things to go right, it seemed that for me it went exactly opposite of that. The pain (both physical and mental) of this experience is blotting out any memories that might actually apply to your QOTW.

I built a lifted scx10.2 mega truck with 125mm powerstroke shocks and all tje pieces just worked together as i had hoped with no cutting or clearance issues. Such a nice rig. If only all aftermarket parts would assemble so easy!

I designed and printed a tool holder for my work space. These were specifically for the VP drivers and I wanted the holder to match the taper of the handle so they fit snuggly. This way they are not overly deep or at an angle where I’d have to lift them up and out. It worked out just like I wanted.

Great news week. Cross is cool... but not really my thing. I had a gc4... I sold a gc4 haha. As for the question. I juat painted a new Phoenix body for the truck I did for my wedding, also put new electronics in it , amd put some machined face kmc bullys on it. It all went amazingly well. I'm not a painter... hahaha. But I could also say our wedding went super well. So.... hahahaha. 1 oth those makes my wife happy. Maybe both haha. The original body for "just married" didn't have proper paint. So it fell off as soon as I took it on the trail (after the wedding).

It was in 1990. I finally asked the pretty girl that worked at the soda fountain in the old fashioned drug store I worked at for a date. Out of pity and fear that I would turnout like a 50 year old virg...bachelor that was a friend to both our families, she agreed to one date with me. Now 33 some odd years later, that pity date worked into 28 years of marriage with 2 grown kids and 1 son in law. That pity date worked better than I could ever expect for me. Cross is trash if you plan to do anything but make it look pretty and drive it delicately before it goes on the shelf to look pretty for the rest of it's days. Hence the lack of aftermarket parts. I built 2.5" stainless mandrel bent exhaust on my new DD and it went flawlessly. Lots of cutting and welding but nothing fought at all, it just about fell together.
