I'm not plant based, and I do miss your videos with meat in them, but your plant based videos have helped SO much! My boyfriend has a total seafood allergy, so that means no fish sauce, no oyster sauce, none of that umami flavored things we usually see in Asian foods. Your plant based videos have helped me find so many great substitutes so that he can enjoy your food, too! Thank you!

Fruits are produced by flowers, so cucumbers, zucchini, squash, tomatoes, melons are fruits. The seeds are within the flesh of the fruit. There are more fruits than what I have listed that are used like vegetables in cooking.

I just ordered your cookbook and am looking forward to receiving it!✨ Most people are very surprised to learn that tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, pumpkins, peas, string beans, eggplants, okra, olives, avocados, corn (and other grains), zucchini (and other squash) , beans, chickpeas, and lentils, (basically all legumes or pulses) are all botanically fruits, which of course does not mean that they're all good in fruit salad!😆 But I'm thinking that lots of them would make great kimchi.👍💞

Beyond the recipes that are amazing, I absolutely love watching your videos because you're commentary provides so much entertainment. You say what we generally all think and there is truly a balance to trying to be good for the environment, and the traditional lifestyle of mixing things with your hands. It not only makes food taste better I think but you are connecting with it just like when you walk barefoot on the ground. There's something to be said for that connection that makes everything better. 🥰

Garlic Ginger chives (similar but different between buchu or chockppa, should be buchu) Soy sauce (Yeondu? newest soy source) Red pepper powder Sugar (Starch syrup) plum syrup (+Vinegar, Sesame oil) ----------------- up tp here, It's similar to kocchori or cucumber kimchi However, I've never tried Tomato kimchi, but I should try it.. I'm so curious... It's very interesting.... You are a genius to make kimchi with tomatoes

hi seonkyoung! thank you for this amazing recipe! i can’t wait to try it with my mom! i just wanted to say that i love your channel~ it gives so many of us peace and inspiration. F the trolls! cook in a way that makes sense and is comfortable for you! the rest is just noise. i can confidently say that most of us are happy and grateful for the knowledge that you share. sadly, trolls are an inevitable part of being such a prolific cooking channel on youtube there are many cultures around the world where its very normal to eat or cook with your hands. as for the people who wanna be haters about it, its better to just chalk it up to THEIR ignorance and cultural illiteracy, imo. have a wonderful rest of your summer!
