Yatai is a Japanese culture. Glad to see the young keeping it alive. His setup is attractive.

I love the guy doing the cheers gesture with his bottle in the very beginning of the video. A nice atmosphere to be in. Brings me back memories of my childhood when my grandmother worked at a local small bar and folks coming high and wide to have a brew. *sigh* good times.

Thank you very much. Do indeed feel privileged to view these hard working men and women in their Yatai stalls. What an experience outdoors under the starry skies, and the night air caressing you, along with good company (even if solo), delicious food and drink...unsurpassing.

Fascinating how the stall is pieced together from metal frames. So different from traditional yatai stall. Very well done stall and food. Thank you enjoyed.
Been waiting to see someone build a yatai onto a kei truck. Really neat and practical for packing and travel.

For sure! Metal stall should last his entire career! I like the small transport truck. Easy to load and not hard on the back to unload, perfect. Wish him well.

i have seen several yatai make two-three trips to open their stalls. those guys should follow this guy and bring pick up for better quality life. those who make 2-3 round trips only sleep for 4-5 hour each day and have no time to rest. you need to go little bit modern to perserve the culture
@rustythecat2163 Жыл бұрын
You are so right to make life a bit easy. I wonder if th stall owners make enough money for a small truck. Even a motor bike (3 wheel) would be a great help to transport a stall.

Do you ever think that they use the wooden sticks to attach the food and fried them along with the stick? is that safe?

So they are assembling this daily?
@restaurantman Жыл бұрын
Yes. In Fukuoka city (where this is located), the Yatai vendors are licensed by the municipal government. The vendors pay rent for their designated spots and are subject to health inspections. As part of those regulations, the stalls are required to be assembled and disassembled each day. This regulatory structure functions as protections for the small business owners and the local Yatai culture. It prevents large operators from displacing the small businesses.
