I heard the News about Nigerians being stranded in Russia so I decided to take a trip to the embassy. Fortunately for me, I met Wale, one of the Nigerians, stranded in Russia. Here is his story.

I've heard shocking stories of Nigerian Travel Agents booking travel tickets with stolen credit cards and several other horrible arrangements that will later backfire. I feel like crying because I know the kind of suffering a stranded person faces especially in Russia. There is virtually no job and nothing to do in Russia. i will never encourage anybody to go to Russia because of no job. Please let me know.

The Truth is that many of this people went there thinking they can live in Russia as Asylum seekers.I travelled to Russia for the game and what I saw was very sad...They were never interested in watching any games ...many sold their match tickets .The interviewer should have asked Wale to show him his match ticket. It's a reflection on the desperate situation back in Nigeria where everyone is trying to get out due to percieved lack of opportunities.

...I am not sure what to feel: to be sad or angry or both that this is happening to a fellow Nigerian. This is why foreign countries don't respect Nigerian Citizens. Why can't the Nigerian Embassy in Moscow just rectify his ticket and put him on a flight out of that God forsaken place?
