Loved it! Groceries are more expensive than I was expecting. I love hearing all the differences from North America. The gym does look epic. Thanks for sharing!👏

It's because some of them are import products and could be, generally speaking, twice (even more) as expensive as Serbian substitutes, eg mayo, cookies, cosmetics. There is a very wide assortment of products and you need to compare prices if they matter to you.

those creepy blocks are realy creepy, hoping Belgrade waterfront and construction of that area will bring some revisions of that zone also, for years before waterfront, Belgrade was gravitating toward Dorcol and Vracar neighbourhoods, so this area toward river was neglected and no interest in investing.

That smell is due to the pressure outside.Otherwise, it has been a difficult weather for the last few days so people had headaches etc

The fish smell is because somebody was cooking fish. The air suction in the kitchen is connected to the vent in the bathroom. So whatever somebody is cooking, you gonna smell it in your bathroom

Welcome to Serbia, it's nice to see that you like it, I wish you to experience best and enjoy our hospitality to the maximum. The only thing that bothers me is that sometimes people brought with themselves that fake narrative that links Serbia to the Soviet Union in general. During the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia was the only socialist Eastern European country that was never in the Soviet bloc. Serbia is a sovereign country, war-neutral and on the way to joining the European Union. The architecture in the center of Belgrade is mainly in the Austro-Hungarian style, the socialist architecture you mention is located in the residential areas of Belgrade and is called "brutalism". This architecture is present in all the countries of the former Yugoslavia, i.e. also in Croatia, Slovenia and other former republics, but it is hidden from the eyes, because in most of these countries the insulation and facades have been restore, so today it is no longer possible to see that gray concrete there. Serbia will have to do the same when finances allow it. Croatia and Slovenia were able to do this because, as members of the EU, they received favorable funds that enabled people to restore these buildings. In socialism, these buildings were built like on a conveyor belt, because in socialism there were not to be homeless people, but every citizen had to have his own apartment or house, in this way the illusion of an all-powerful socialism was created. Forgive me, don't get me wrong, I had to explain these things because some people believe in this fake narrative, but I believe that certain architecture reminds you of the architecture of the Soviet Union during the communist era. Once again, welcome to Serbia and I wish you a pleasant stay.

You've made a very good point! Only, brutalism was international, though maybe not so brutal and widespread as in most socialist countries. The national theatre in London (on the Thames south bank), lots of individual high-rises, the Barbican Centre etc), just to mention a few. In other European cities and towns as well.

No industrial processing, no artificial aromas added, just coffee. And I am sorry I have to brake it to you, the wierd thing you drink under label coffee, like mokas and americanas and such, it is not even similar to the real coffee 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Not to mention decafeined coffe :) It is coffe with no coffee inside 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
