Good luck with that! The Russian government should let you make and post your videos on YT. You show such a humane and generally positive picture of Russia to the Westerners. Maybe this can contribute a little to end all the political nonsense on both sides. Or maybe that would be the exact reason why they need to be banned. By either side.

It was a great experience, I have seen a lot beautiful landscapes, found a great history in the orthodox monasteries, amazing iconography, met nice people, nice restaurants and good food :-) I will return with pleasure next years. I'm of Serbian ancestry and live in Texas. Formerly I lived and worked in the world's largest Polish city, Chicago, which is also the world's second largest Serbian city. The Poles and Serbs get along perfectly there, and they love one another. When the Polish government recognized Kosovo as a separate state, all of Poland took to the streets to protest, and as a result, the government reversed its stance because of the good consciences of the good people.The Serbs will always be grateful to the brothers and sisters of Poland for that support at a time when no end to governments wanted Serbia bombed of the face of the earth and destroyed. My grandparents (now only grandma) live in Serbia, they are Vojvodina hungarians. I spent the best summers in Serbia when I was a kid, playing with serbian kids. I am eating burek art the moment because I was missing it and saw it here in my local grocery ( I live in Ireland). But is is nothing like the one my grandma brought from the market :(

I spent about 6 weeks in Serbia in 2021, I really loved it. My wife and I stayed in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis, we liked Nis the best. Serbian food was super tasty and the people were very friendly.

I participated in an exchange program in Serbia back in 2014 and lived in a town called Lazarevac, which was not too far from the capital. It was such an intense experience. @@bojanfrntic8596 That’s totally wrong and misinformation. First, Romania joined NATO in 2004. Second, Romania never allowed NATO use the spacecraft to bomb Serbia ! Third, Romania helped during bombing with electricity delivered from Timisoara, with gasoline, with donations and what else we could at that moment. We kept safety in one of our airports the planes which were moved from Nikola Tesla airport during the bombings. There is even a romanian train controller that stopped the NATO trains going to help the bombing of Serbia, we always were peaceful and nice to our neighbors.

I lived in former Jugoslavia and returned to live in Serbia in 2020. I'm not from the Balkans but Australia. I'm not supporter of communism but I loved my time in former Jugoslavia. I love Serbia.

@@marijanmajetic5772First Serbian state was founded 400 years before Turks came on the Balkans unlike some other Balkans' countries that exsist only from 20th century. Various monuments, monasteries and churches from 11th century till now state about our culture and history. Also, we know the burial places of each our king, we don't need to make them up or steal someone else's cultural identity like some other Balkans' nations do.

Definitely the worst time to visit. Serbia is generally the best from May-October, avoid July if you don't like the heat tho. I definitely recommend you to venture out of Belgrade, there are many amazing things even close by

@@JaKamilleIt can be amazing time for New Year but Belgrade between December and March is kinda depressing. Communist architecture is already gray enough so gray foggy weather and lack of greenery just adds to that. If it snows it’s other story though 😁 but we get less and less snow days each year. Hope you have great time though, we party for 5 days after New Years eve it’s non-stop 😄

My grandparents were born in Yugoslavia on the Serbian side but left after WW2 because they were considered too German even though the family immigrated there in 1800s. It's on my list to travel there and find the spots where my grandparents and great-grandparents lived, and experience Serbian culture & language. Thank you for the video!

my generation learned two foreign languages during elementary school, the first in the third grade and the second in the fifth, and they were Russian, English, French and German (two languages in all possible combinations) in Belgrade , and we studied Russian classics from the upper grades of elementary school until the end of high school
