Wow great minds think alike Paul. We were there a couple of weeks ago. It's a fabulous wee spot for a wee mid week break. We've been a few times over the years. We have been to the Slieve Russell a few times too. Most of these big houses has servants entrances!!!!!!! There is a heronry up in the high trees away down the back. We saw them flying in to their nests. So that's what the bird noise probably was. We had a super time too! We would go back tomorrow!
