I watched that game on espn from hundreds of miles away in AZ, and even from that I could tell the electricity in the stadium. It was as loud a stadium I had ever heard.

I was sitting in the east endzone next to a couple guys wearing red from Nebraska. The game was completely insane. They were absolutely smashing each other on that field. Big plays, big hits, favorable calls from the refs, the noise, captain Husky. I was 11 years old. It was like a fever dream.

I love the air raid siren, esp. when they hold it out for a long count

That night was totally insane. We (UW) got lucky on some calls but there was no way they were going into that environment and getting out with a W. Once the Hobert thing broke in Nov and the scrutiny started we lost focus. Up until then we looked unbeatable.

( March2021,) Husker fan here. Imagine how hard you guys would stomp us now. Husker Nation has thrown in the towel. We see no hope and no possibility of being even a shadow of our former selves. Lifetime fan, i don't even hardly watch Nebraska Football anymore its to depressing.

Life as a Husky (Former Alumni) hasn't been that good either. I feel your pain. We've had some pretty exciting players but nothing like we were back then. Tom Osborne like our Don James were legends. Our Mariners haven't mattered for years since the days of Lou Piniella either. But at least I got to watch some great sports during my lifetime...

@@Motoicon good point👍 yes you guys have had some great Husky football players over the yrs. Nebraska has fallen since Bo Palini was let go. 10 wins a season was not enough. When Scott Frost arrived expectations were 70's - "90's level. Those expectations have vanished in Nebraska and nobody is excited about Big Red.....Husker football seems to be dead.

Hang in there! UW was a laughingstock in the Ty Willimgham era....We endured 5 losing seasons in a row...After having 30 consecutive winning seasons under our belt....Nebraska will be back & you'll savor it that much more! Good.luck this year......A bowl game would be a big step for you guys.....Heck, it's been since Crouch, since the Huskers have really done anything....The B1G has not been kind to them...

I understand, I hardly ever watch or keep up with Oklahoma football anymore. There's no loyalty in the game anymore.

The best Qb tandem in college football history. Billy Joe Hobert and Mark Burnell. Both got hurt and both kept the Huskies rolling.

Hard to believe what happened to Washington at the end of this year. This should have been two undefeated years in a row. Instead we ended up with a bunch loses and loss of Coach James.

Back when they recruited the guys who could bring the pain, not based on fitting the Chris Petersen philosophy.
