There's so much to the score! And I love the how the soundtrack feels so diverse with slow and fast scores. Sleepovers were the best, especially watching horror films or gory stuff that we definitely shouldn't be watching lol! Which is your favorite of the sequels? I've seen two of them.

Wow, that dream you talked about would make a good scene in a Freddy movie. Carrie was the only movie that gave me nightmares I was about 9 or 10 at the time. Then that became my favorite horror movie with also The Thing. When you described the conveyor belt of people it remined me of the Pink Floyd video Another Brick in the Wall. It was children on a conveyor belt, need to see the video.

🎶 "One, two, Freddy's coming for you. / Three, four, better lock your door. / Five, six, grab your crucifix. / Seven, eight, gonna stay up late. / Nine, ten, never sleep again." 🎶 Fun Fact: One of the main reasons Johnny Depp was chosen was because Wes Craven's daughter thought he was "dreamy" and that was why this is the feature film debut of Johnny Depp. Location Location Fact: All of the boiler room footage in the film was shot in the basement of the Lincoln Heights Jail in Los Angeles, which was condemned shortly after production wrapped, due to high levels of asbestos. Hot Take Fact: The scene where Freddy (Robert Englund) is set on fire, chases Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) to the top of the stairs, falls back down, and starts back up again, was all shot in one take, with several cameras, and was the most elaborate fire scene ever filmed up to that time. Stuntman Anthony Cecere won best stunt of the year for the scene. Blade Enthusiast Fact: The idea behind the glove was a practical one on Wes Craven's part, as he wanted to give the character a unique weapon, but also something that could be made cheaply and wouldn't be difficult to use or transport. At the time he was studying primal fears embedded in the subconscious of people of all cultures, and discovered that one of those fears is attack by animal claws. Around the same time, he saw his cat unsheathe its claws, and the two concepts merged, although in the original script the blades were fishing knives, not steak knives, as in the finished film.

That nursery rhyme is just too perfect! And of course that's how Johnny Depp would get his start lol! Oh damn, that makes that boiler room scenes even more spooky and creepy! Yeah that was a pretty amazing stunt with the fire! It looked like the guy was on fire for so long, and yeah he deserved that award for sure lol! Freddy's who look and design just hits so well! But of course, Robert Englund just does a hell of a job with his mannerisms, voice, and body language

Wes Craven transitions from shock horror (Hills Have Eyes, Last House on the Left) to more psychological/comedic horror with a couple TV movies (Summer of Fear & Invitation To Hell) as well as Swamp Thing 1980, before he gets into Elm Street. Craven had a really interesting filmography and truly became a founder of meta horror in the 90s with New Nightmare and Scream.

@@jessebatres6895 The "problem" with "Halloween" franchise is the public never knew each installment was supposed to be whole new story. So when 3 came out, even though what had happened at end of 2 should've ended that story-line, everybody was expecting Myers so everybody, including myself, hated it at the time. Then they showed he was back for 4 so everybody returned. That's when I was pretty much done. But looking back it's a good stand alone '80's horror & actually tells the future, like, say, "They Live".

Imagine trying to sell this concept back in the conservative Reagan era: A psychopathic monster that only kills you when you sleep! No wonder most studios didn't want to touch this outlandish story. It was only New Line that had faith in Wes Craven's talent to write/direct such an original movie much less start a franchise with it. Taking creative chances is a lesson Hollywood should learn instead of doing countless remakes/sequels/prequels.

I basically cut off a giant pipeline of what would flood in a shitload of subs and views by stating that I've watched every Rocky Film religiously and every Halloween Film (except part 3). Hell, that Rocky franchise alone (if I wanted to "fake" react to them) would've probably doubled my subscriber count in a month. But not gonna go that route.
