Brad I love you but you should’ve watched the tutorial. It’s actually very easy to get the hair on if you do it right. I have this and it changed my life and my hair. It used to get so damaged because i hated blowing it out so I’d sleep on it wet. I’m so happy with it and my hair is so much healthier without the extra heat damage from using a dryer then a straightener/ curler. It’s also so quick to do your hair once you figure it out.

Honestly, in this rewiew it seems more that he did it on purpose for Airwrap not to work, that is, it seems that he staged a negative rewiew to have more views and likes. This is because, it is very difficult to believe that he has not done a research to find out how the device works, even on the website and channel of dyson there are tutorials to explain the operation and how to do different hairstyles. Or else he is completely dizzy.

I actually have this and have been using it for a few days and he’s not doing much wrong. Yeah with practice you can get the curls to look good but only for so long. Even when using the cool down step before releasing the curls. The cool down doesn’t get cold enough. It’s more like a lukewarm cold and by the end of the day my hair was almost completely straight even with setting the curls and using hair spray. It’s more meant for people with shorter and finer hair. I have thick long hair and it’s not an ideal product for my hair personally. The barrels are pretty short so anyone with long hair is gonna struggle with getting the whole length curled. Right away it would look completely curled but shortly after it looked like I only curled the ends of my hair. I can get a much better and even curl with a wand that’s a fraction of the price. Just thought I’d throw this out there for people saying that it’s user error. I’m a regular person and this is how it worked for me.
@enfisya5 жыл бұрын
Jeska Scott Hi, thanks for sharing. I think if you manually wrap the hair strand on the curling barrel (he was showing it on a “beach wave” example) it looks like it would work better like that. And overall I think the dryer itself is pretty good in terms of heat control, so basically those parts are “for free” if the previous dyson just dryer was costing $500. So I’m still convinced in buying this :) And that straight brush looks like a crazy time saver for freezy hair :)
@leighfei5 жыл бұрын
@@enfisya the straight brushes are great. I have a cheap version of a straight blow-dry brush and I'm thinking of getting the airwrap because mine has very low power and I have really thick hair so I can get use out of the dryer and the brush dryer.

I love the Dyson Airwrap. I have used it now for over six months and have tried each attachment until I found the combination of tools I like. I am thrilled that I'm not frying my hair with unnecessary heat, and it cuts my styling/drying time in half. I expected a learning curve with this tool, just like I had when learning to use a curling iron and a brush and hair dryer. I also love eliminating a bunch of other tools cluttering a drawer in the bathroom. Granted...its expensive, but it is an investment in your hair that you will use a very long time.

So the reason it won’t grab your hair is either because you wet it too much or have a large section of hair. The hair should only be 20% damp so it looks dry but is wet to the touch and the section should not be bigger than the width of the barrel. This is one of the best products I’ve used but it needs correct technique

Amandalid I don’t think he was pissed he wasn’t sent it because he said that the dyson dryer was one of the best purchases he made. I personally think that in comparison to a $100 curler to this $550 set, it didn’t live up to the excellence that Dyson backs up. It’s important to state whether it’s sponsored or not, so I think he was just reiterating that it wasn’t.

The only time you did it correctly is at 13.27 (around it). 1)You can't get curls by trying to wrap ur hair around. Just hold it in way that the tail of is hanging out. The wand would attract and wrap the automatically. 2)You did not mention cool shot either 3)Once you get the technique you would love it. Section the hair and your would get faster styling + with less heat damage

Am kind of disappointed with this video, as it is made with half knowledge about the product. This is a product that any body can use it.

I have one. It has changed my life. It’s an amazing product although it took me a couple weeks to get used to it and get the hang of it. I don’t think you can judge a product based on your first use. I am a huge fan (lol) of Dyson as I have their hairdryer as well. Great video though! 💕💕

Hi, I know that your comment was from a while ago but I saw it and had something o say. The whole point of a review is basically to show how user-friendly a product is and even if you need someone more practice with a product it should till have good results. I know it was his first time using this product but that's the point. People don't want to use something they can't figure out. So if you can't figure it out after the first time. What's the likely hood someone will use it again?
@lisamarieperelli77084 жыл бұрын
When you pay that price for a device a first time using it wrong doesn’t prevent you from using it again. I personally have it and have great results with, I agree that at first the air wrap is not automatic to figure out, but once you do it makes wonders: my hair never stayed curled for more than an hour and with this it actually holds for days. Anyways if you take the section from near the scalp so that is free it gets automatic in the air wrap. Love you brad but just in this case, you’re doing it wrong. Xoxo

You definitely should have read the instructions, but I have the airwrap and I completely agree with you! The amount of hair you're able to wrap around the barrel is so minimal, it takes me forever to curl my hair. If you have longer hair, you can't even use a square inch of hair because the air isn't powerful enough to curl that amount of hair. Also my curls last literally an hour after using the airwrap even with product and hairspray.

I have the same kit. I love all of it but curing my hair from damp to dry curls with the air wrap would literally take me 3 hours. It's much faster to just dry and then use a regular curling iron. I do use them for a few face framing curls/volume when I finish drying tho. Maybe someone with short hair would have an easier time, my hair is thick and down to my butt. Way to much to deal with lol. I do love the brushes while drying, honestly I can't stand to dry my hair without them now. Personally I wouldn't pay $500 for it but I did happily accept it as a gift from my husband! I feel like the air wrap is gimmicky and the only benefit is I don't have to plug up a curling iron. For $500 you too can be a little bit more lazy like me. 😂
@anishapawah84324 жыл бұрын
Momma Bear u know I got the real review from u here, bcoz with big brand launches like these, u just never understand did he have a grudge against them, did not pay him or did they pay her and gift her a free product for sale. It's indeed innovation bit not really worth 550$. I mean u could have launched a 100$ curler or even a 150$ for the innovation in tech, u really can't charge a 20x of a regular curling iron for it. And frankly, I just had my hairstyled by a stylist a few days ago with Dyson, and I genuinely wasn't impressed, the curls were way too loose and it just looked untidy frizzyish. I genuinely felt curling iron do a much better job, the curls are firmer and even on opening they look all together and nice. But yeah I didn't mind getting it used since it was part of the hair color service.

Regardless of whether or not there is a technique in order to use this curler is beside the point. Brad is a professional hairstylist and uses tools like this all the time. If he can’t use it well right out the box, it’s not easy to use. Lots of people are saying it’s amazing after you get used to it, but most of us don’t have time to waste figuring out a hair curler that probably isn’t designed for heavy, thick hair anyway. Picking up a different curler at Walmart and using it is so much easier than figuring this out, even if those aren’t great in terms of heat damage.

Hey ! I’ve been trained with Dyson on the air wrap! I’m naturally curly with 4c hair (super kinky curly hair can’t even walk your fingers through it) I cut one of my braids out at work to demo how awesome this is for thick curly hair . As much as I do appreciate this demo, this tool I believe does require a demonstrations and tutorials by people who are trained on it to show you how you can get the best use out of it! This tool is truly great for ALLLLLLL HAIR TYPES . YES EVEN YOU WITH THICK HAIR ALL THE WAY DOWN TO YOUR BUTT. It saves SOOOOO much time when you know how to use it properly .

The combs are different for different hair types! The one with the balls in the end is for fine and thinner hair. While the ones without the ball is for thicker and harder hair. Please remember to cold blast after using the curling feature! And switch off the airwrap before you remove the wrap! It fixes better when the hair is wet because the hydrogen bonds are open! And the cold blast is used to set the curl!

If you hold the hair strands half way up the shaft and leave the ends free, the wand will automatically “grab” the ends and all you’ll need to do is move the wand closer toward your scalp. 😊
