5:00 To be fair, cats have lived from falling from extreme heights. I think the tallest ever recorded was 50 stories? In fact, they’re much more likely to be injured falling from shorter distances because of how their landing works.

Yes almost all cats terminal velocity(maximum gravity acceleration) is non lethal for their mass. Ooo also has less mass therefore gravity than our earth.

The fucked up part is that Cake probably **would** have survived. Cats actually get less hurt the farther up they fall from (to a point of course). I mean, they'd have busted all their legs, but they also seem to have hit other things on the way down, resetting the energy of her fall on land.

I feel really bad for Prismo, in that scene he must've either watching old recordings of their adventures or an alternate universe where Jake's alive, remembering him... Also yeah, this is probably the most underwhelming episode of the series, it's only peak from here on out

This episode may be weaker than the others, but I still think it's great. As others have said, Cake surviving that fall isn't actually unrealistic. The episode firmly establishes Cake's character. I love her and how she as a cat has to learn social standards and not just act on instinct. It's a bit slow, but the Up A Tree characters were super fun to see. Plus the market is full of background characters from other episodes. I think both Fionna and Cake react to Simon reasonably. They go through a portal and are immediately met with a strange old man who yells at them/harasses them(literally shoving a goose corpse at Fionna). It makes sense both of them are put-off and leave right away.

Honestly I like cake just being a regular cat. It helps distinguish her from Jake, same reason I love seeing Fionna as a depressed millennial.

I think this episode is a little weaker as a standalone, but it's not really intended as a standalone, but rather to be viewed along with the other episode that it aired with. I know you watched the other episode as well and that they're just taking a long time to upload, but yeah.
