I think so as well, because the song is 7 minutes and 2 seconds long like the other Marinas Trench intros. Album Tracklist: 1. A Normal Life 2. Lightning and Thunder 3. I'm Not Getting Better And so on.... Also, some of the other tracks(especially the final song) will have the same lyrics and rhythm to "A Normal Life".

Josh really said “Nobody can sing my songs but me” 😂 the RANGE! Like I usually have to really practice for a while to get the highest notes in a Marianas Trench song but this song has notes that are too high for me AND notes that are too low for me! I'm UGLY crying on my bathroom floor rn. this music video and the lyrics are all so well done and I think we all can relate to wanting to just break out of our "normal lives". and stop listening to what other people say "normal" is. this song has a little bit of everything from fix me to phantoms. It's the classic MT we all love (synths, orchestra, screaming, harmonies, repeating chord progressions) but there's also something ELSE. Something NEW. and I'm crying bc I remember the first time I heard this band in middle school I KNEW there was something great about them. And now I'm 25 still rocking with them because they still somehow have even MORE in the vault???!?? Beyond excited to purchase this album and be blessed with another era of Marianas Trench. 🥂🥹🫶🏾❤️🥲

This. This is absolutely what pop/punk should be. It's lost its meaning over the years, so it's honestly thrilling to see a song honor is roots in such an amazing fashion. And the angular, stop motion type of animation? Perfect. Everything put together reminds me of the late 90s to early 2000s.

Here's a little breakdown of the sections I'm noticing, might not be accurate but I have some hunches!! Beginning -> 2:06 Phantoms Era, full of spooky motifs and backwards sounds 2:06 -> 2:30 Astoria Era, using retro synths and that token quick fading harmony 2:30 -> 3:05 Ever After Era, pure very driven modern rock 3:05 -> 4:10 Maybe I'm missing something but this section doesn't seem too easy to pinpoint, might just be a mix 4:10 -> 4:44 Masterpiece Theatre Era, sound reminds me a lot of Lover Dearest and the inclusion of the word "bitter" supports this theory 4:44 -> 5:09 Fix Me Era, very obvious! Pure 2000s grunge rock and I think this melody is from that album or a bonus track 5:09 -> Everything combined and used together beautifully

I will never stop being in awe of how intelligent your music is. The lyrics are so well put together and evoke so much feeling from us listeners.
