The Xbox 360 was a big part of my teen years. My dad bought me the Xbox 360 Slim a week after release and I still have it today. This generation will never know how awesome gaming was on the Xbox 360. Im going to miss the Xbox 360 Marketplace though 😢.

The red ring of death is caused by the constant heating and cooling process melting and breaking the led free solder in the GPU. Lots of earlier models from 2005 to 2007 suffered from this, but revisions on the motherboard made it less likely to happen on newer ones. I’m actually on a mission buying a bunch of red ringed consoles, towel tricking them, and if they have blades dashboard they get new more reliable GPUs. There’s a small group of us out there still fixing red ringed consoles

it was the peak, easy, throw in xbla as well as the aaa games like halo and gears and fallout and the best era of b-games with crackdown and saints row, never been a better period in gaming
