*Slight correction* There IS a touchscreen. The only time I was able to use it was when an onscreen keyboard pops up when you need to input a Wifi password. So touchscreen interaction would just need to be enabled.

Purely from the usability perspective of the device, the rabbit r1 is a nightmare to use, which is a problem because simplicity and ease of use is why smartphones got popular in the first place. So if you are going to make a dedicated AI device, it needs to be faster than just pulling your phone out of your pocket and asking it directly, which was also what humane AI tried to solve with its Pin. And watching this video, the user experience is just horrible, it should have been easy enough for even old people to use, as they might not use smartphones that much! And that is all not including the fact that the AI itself is just horrible, slow like Siri, giving search results like google when you want to search a specific thing, and very very slow to connect to servers. Its in essence an AI that is similar to google assistant you can get in an 200 dollar Chinese phone, but with a horrible interface and not much functionality beyond that! Meaning this device was DOA! AI really has potential to be a useful tool in the future, complementing highly skilled professionals in their jobs, assisting in information gathering at a moment’s notice for corporations, but as of now, AI currently being developed is more like a gimmick made for teenagers and techbros, even though it has the capacity to do much more, and this is what frustrates me a bit, knowing that these companies could have made their AI powerful tools, but they essentially made them just a smarter search bar for everyday users! Only Grok AI and Open AI seem to have useful functionality, with Claude catching up pretty fast! Great review! This was focused on the usability perspective, and not about what the product could have been, or what the potential of this device be like other reviewers, this was focused on topic!
