It's SO true!! In Pharmacy Tech school, I learned that in medical schools, most doctors are taught to push drugs and "alternative" treatments instead of finding the "root" cause of health issues in their patients and also, pushing a healthy diet tailored to your "specific" needs along with, exercise, cognitive/behavioral therapies and more natural therapies. In my personal experience, watching some of my loved ones suffer and some dying due to complications from either prescription drugs and mental health issues such as; Alzheimer's, Dementia along with, never being taught about proper nutrition, exercise and cognitive/behavioral/natural therapies, I made a "conscious" decision a long time ago to never rely on prescription drugs if I could help it and thank God I haven't had the need. I tell my doctor I will work on diet and exercise before any drugs and he is all for diet and exercise before anything else. If you're fortunate enough to find a doctor like him, stick with him!! YOUR health is in YOUR hands and before anything, get an overall checkup and bloodwork done. If you have any health issues, do your research about your health issues, do what you need to to improve your health/brain health. If it comes in a box, fast food restaurant or has a label, it's crap. Stick to whole unprocessed foods and more organic foods such as fruits and vegetables, if you can grow your own fruits and vegetables in pesticide-free soil, even better and please do so, stay away from sugars/fake or hidden sugars, baked goods, cereals, salt, breads, alcohol, cigarettes, DRINK YOUR WATER for your brain and overall body functions, cook your own foods so you know what goes into it.

I would LOVE to see your clinic create food programs for our schools! We feed our kiddos terrible foods for their health and wonder why behavior issues are on the rise. I'm a teacher and mother of 9. It's not just electronics effecting them. My kids would rather not eat lunch than eat the "gross" food the school provides for free.

But also, I have "cherry angiomas" all over my body due to "BROMINE toxicity" due to plastics that are in water bottles, paints, peanut butter, furniture etc., how SCARY is that?! And how did I find this out.... my own RESEARCH!! And so now, I have to replace bottled water with filtered water, and overhaul my diet all over again. I am determined to reduce or get rid of my prediabetes and especially, cherry angiomas. DO your research people!!

Watching on day 9 of 21 of the suggested 3 week no dairy, soy, corn, gluten or sugar elimination diet. This is my 3rd attempt of trying it and the farthest I've made it. Pro tip: if you're considering trying the elimination diet, make sure you ask those you live with and interact with the most for help and support. I'm the only one I know doing this, which has made social situations tough and I've almost caved a handful of times but really having people on board enough to say "no I'm supposed to support you, stay strong." it helps.

Raw diary has shown not to allergenic plus it can help possible heal the gut which then helps the brain also. You talk about almond milk which is just a juice with no nutritional value.

If you are depressed the very first thing you must do is to find out if you have pathology, you must get a blood test and a physical examination to rule out the possibility of disease or chronic addictions such as alcoholism or other substance abuse or use, people who drink every day develop low blood sugar known as hypoglycemia this condition alone has 250 symptoms the first is depression, next thing get with a nutritionalist and discuss a diet plan, there are Drs in America who are experts Dr Terry Wahls wrote a book “Wahls Protocol” very informative she is a professor at the university of Iowa

gluten sugar dairy corn soy foods that are in the original form as much as we can: 6 to 9 cups a day this is so important because there are so many unlabeled unknown ingredients in the processed foods that we buy, things that really impact our mental health eating whole foods ups our nutrient density immensely, we get more fiber, vitamins, minerals this is amazing, it makes sense, right? this is the chemestry of how we take food in and what happens to us. And then there's the opposite, the good feeling: think about saffron, you eat it and feel this happiness overwhelm you, and there's research to back that up, food is medicine.

Vegetables have oxalates in them so animals won't eat them and will give me kidney stones. Meat is mean and is pumped full to antibiotics and steroids. Grains are bad because people have been farming for only 10,000 years and are not able to digest them. Nuts have evil, require a lot of water and will make you fat. Obviously people who create podcasts, write books etc have some form of interest in making money through their resources; however, the majority of what is being suggested in trying an elimination diet and trying whole foods and changing diet and lifestyle has to do with what you spend on your own groceries. Get off your High Horse M J. I've tried the Whole30 elimination diet and really works.
