I dont really like the cheese grater aesthetics. Maybe different patterns would look nicer tough they are probably also more expensive to manufacture
@mattevans16432 ай бұрын
They aren't more expensive. It's all CNC. The problem is they already programmed that specific design, and it's a really simple design. So it's more about time management and mass production rather than making it unique. It would probably cost them a few extra cents to make a more unique design. The longer the machine has to run, the more money it costs. Honeycomb patterns are mad expensive just because of the details that have to go into it, and the amount of holes it has to cut. But you know if you were to make diagonal shapes or any normal shape the cost changes slightly, but not too much, where it's reasonble to charge it back to the customer. We're not talking like a weave pattern or anything special, cause something like that I fully understand why they wouldn't do that, that's rediculous, unless it's a 1 of 1 custom piece.

M-lok, molle, 1/4-20 screws, etc would allow for nato rails, picatinny, Arri rosette, 15mm rods, and more. For example, I do photo and video work. So I bet I could use a heavy-duty friction dampener for attaching cinema cameras to vehicles to lock it to the wall of a production van for transport and post shoot editing, then move it to a production cart using the same hardware. An easy and safe way to bring a whole edit rig out in the field for off-camera monitoring, backup recording, streaming, camera switching, etc. Cinematographers love modularity. if they carve some micro-level teeth or texture as "rails" for the metal, it would sound more of a purposeful metal sound, than a cringy one. It will take a lot of work to pull of right though, which may not be a reasonable choice just for avoiding to use some rubber or siimlar to kill the metal-on-metal grinding noise.

You should have also put a list of all the components you placed into the case so I can just click and buy according to it

well in a perfect scenario you ll slide it once to open, and second time to close after your build is ready ^^ shouldnt be a problem honestly

Also if you travel a lot this thing seems to be built like a tank. No panels to come loose or anything like that....

case looks great, thx for your revision BUT 20°C room temp is not realistic + how was the noise level with the 4090? I imagine it was clearly noticeable

2:30 Why go with low friction tape when the obvious choice would been to install a set of polyurethane or teflon bushings. I think this is the one spot they decided to be cheap.

It is upside down in many of the shots, is it meant to be that way for the build or just a small mistake when filming? Seems like an oversight in production of the case if it has to be inversed with the front panel branding to function correctly for the pc build/layout.
