Almost, but Apple design is more understated and elegant. This looks a bit more playful than that. Apple also wouldn't design intakes in a way that you can see what's inside. The top also shouldn't have the same intake design like the sides. I'm pretty picky with this kind of stuff, I know, but so is Apple.

I dont really like the cheese grater aesthetics. Maybe different patterns would look nicer tough they are probably also more expensive to manufacture
@mattevans1643
@mattevans1643 2 ай бұрын
They aren't more expensive. It's all CNC. The problem is they already programmed that specific design, and it's a really simple design. So it's more about time management and mass production rather than making it unique. It would probably cost them a few extra cents to make a more unique design. The longer the machine has to run, the more money it costs. Honeycomb patterns are mad expensive just because of the details that have to go into it, and the amount of holes it has to cut. But you know if you were to make diagonal shapes or any normal shape the cost changes slightly, but not too much, where it's reasonble to charge it back to the customer. We're not talking like a weave pattern or anything special, cause something like that I fully understand why they wouldn't do that, that's rediculous, unless it's a 1 of 1 custom piece.

Hmm. That looks like it could be compatible with some military and film industry rigging standards. M-lok, molle, 1/4-20 screws, etc would allow for nato rails, picatinny, Arri rosette, 15mm rods, and more. For example, I do photo and video work. So I bet I could use a heavy-duty friction dampener for attaching cinema cameras to vehicles to lock it to the wall of a production van for transport and post shoot editing, then move it to a production cart using the same hardware. An easy and safe way to bring a whole edit rig out in the field for off-camera monitoring, backup recording, streaming, camera switching, etc. Cinematographers love modularity. And this is screaming for some attachments.

Give PIO motherboards a shot. I saw a Zillion B610 for 73 bucks. It runs off of 19 volts and can even power an efficient GPU like a 4060 Low Profile. I chose a 12500T processor because it's a sweet spot (I found one for 85 dollars too). Just a decent riser cable can be 40, more half the cost of the reasonable motherboard. And that's assuming it works, never mind how bulky and complicated it makes the build. I only mention because you could get a nice system in about half the size and maybe 1/3 the price. I personally went with a 240watt Alienware GaN brick and put my own connector on it. There was room in a 2L case to fit everything inside, including the power.

WOW! Love it! Would you be interested in making a PC case build vid featuring custom 3D-printed ducts to improve cooling performance? It would be awesome to see it with an SFF case like the Thorzone Nano Q or Ncase M2! Great video as always!

Feel like the Razer Core X eGPU enclosure sliding mechanism would make more sense here. I'm a fan of SFF, but not if I'm sacrificing function over design for a case worth this much. It's already challenging enough to build in without making it harder.

The case comes WITH magnetic dust filters for ALL relevant sides/inlets so all the "smart" comments on "vacuum" and "sucking" are just people that have no clue at all

For that price, I'll go for a Coolermaster NR200P Max, which for almost the same money, includes the case, PSU, riser cable and 280mm AIO, while still looking pretty good and small enough.

Watched this video after playing Cyberpunk 2077 on GFN Ultimate with ray traying overdrive mode on a fanless dead silent docked chromebook with a 4K monitor. Stuggling to see where i would spend this much on a PC case when I can't even bring myself to find a use case for a full blown windows PC anymore (especially with web apps and now Shadow PC works in the browser now for the few times i MIGHT need to run native widows apps)

This is peak SFF case for me, and as much as I'd love it I have no place for it. I went from SFF to mid-tower because I was sick of having external devices for everything on my desk so I went with a bugger undermount setup. I'm computing vicariously through these videos though, so keep'em coming!

The Louqe Raw S1 is already a few years old uses the same principle. A central core where you mount the PC and then you slide it inside a one piece aluminium exterior. The case is vertical though.

I have both cases and the NANOQ has WAAAAAY better hardware support. You can shift and rotate the PSU, use SFX or SFX-L and run air or water cooling. This is also significantly easier to get into.

It's super cool, the only thing that is 'too much' for me are the curves at the edges, to me straight edges would make it more subtle and chill.

Spending so much time on the sliding in and out metal on metal sound is interesting b/c...once I sort out my case, I don't sit there and slide panels on and off throughout the day.

I don't think the fan screws not being long enough is an issue considering tho arctic fans are thicker than a normal fan. Couldn't fit them in my Meshlicious either because of the thickness and moved to noctua.

im really surprised how underengineered the sliding mechanism (or lack thereof) is. they clearly know how to make moving parts that work well together, as shown by the locking mechanism, so why did they just slap some tape on the inside and call it a day?

At the risk of using more space, I'd love to see/feel that baby slide in and out on ball bearings. Or hell, just make it that much bigger. What, an inch more in total? For that price, I'd expect at least a better lining than what you showed there.

if they carve some micro-level teeth or texture as "rails" for the metal, it would sound more of a purposeful metal sound, than a cringy one. It will take a lot of work to pull of right though, which may not be a reasonable choice just for avoiding to use some rubber or siimlar to kill the metal-on-metal grinding noise.

It is upside down in many of the shots, is it meant to be that way for the build or just a small mistake when filming? Seems like an oversight in production of the case if it has to be inversed with the front panel branding to function correctly for the pc build/layout.
