@RachelfGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you can customize the 4 presets that are loaded onto the device and then you don't need to use the app unless you want to modify them further! And same thing for the second half of your question, you can use the device with headphones or for recording without using the app unless you want to change the 4 on device presets.

@kemaluemusic2 жыл бұрын
I am a big fan of digital amps and the like. We have come so far since the first Line6 Pod models in terms of sound and how it feels to play these things. But the one thing I really do not like is the dependence on external apps to configure an amp or a pedal. I like having knobs and a display on my pedal or on my amp, even if it's digital. I just think it's more convenient. 😅 That being said, sound-wise, this thing is awesome. And having a looper is always great fun.🔥
@RachelfGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I totally get that! With this one you can set it up once with the app and pick your favorite 4 tones to switch between on the pedal itself directly after, but yeah can't control everything with it. The GWF4 foot switch they make does also allow you to switch tone banks and get even more tones without the app connected too though. So yeah still not entirely app independent, but it's possible to use it mostly without the app if you'd prefer it that way too :)
@kemaluemusic2 жыл бұрын
@@RachelfGuitar Maybe I just need to try it out at some point. I'm just not the biggest fan of devices that need a smartphone to be fully functional. Ok Dudette...you sold me....I have a TON of pedals and if this does what I want I'll never carry another pedal board to a gig again. Very cool. I'd like to see a longer battery life...wwe usually start at 9 and end at 1-2:00. I really like the MX5 but every time you change rigs the volume changes and you're basically setting it up again...not good on the fly if you're playing rhythm and they throw a lead at you. I don't like it only for that reason. They could easily change that with a firmware update....I hope they listen. You're doin great darlin! I have fun watching your vids. And always get something out of them...rock on!
@RachelfGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yeah, MOOER says the battery life on this is around 4.5 hours. looks like the perfect pedal to experiment w/ endless sounds...but i wouldnt want to take it on stage. i guess im old. i like analog controls, real cables, basically nothing that needs blutooth and phones, computers, etc to work. they totally have their place, but man, it just reminds me of jamming w/ people who had modeling amps like the Fender GT(?), where we would spend an hour trying to change tones to something else useable. option paralysis is a problem a lot of these devices have. but like i said, if you set all your stuff up and dont need to find something new on the fly i guess there okay.

I like the personal amps makers are coming out with. I have a Nu-X Might Plug and it's great. The only thing that drives me crazy is that these personal amps only offer Bluetooth to the phone for their app. There's no reason they can't make it so I can use my Bluetooth earbuds instead of winding a headset cord to the device, as it gets tugged on constantly, and pulls the cord out of the jack or the buds out of my ears, or at least tugging on them annoyingly.

All of this technology is sweet and all but I sure miss the days of the 80s and '90s. One thing this technology cannot possibly recreate is some of the old concerts back then such as guns and roses, Metallica that stuff was real and people actually went out and did things instead of setting behind an iPhone all day thinking they have it made with the ease of all of these apps and such but it has created a lazy generation looking for a cheap easy way out. You think with all this technology things would better, music would be better but it hasn't it's went downhill a In the past years.
