Some of that woodwork in that build was amazing! Huge gaps, and timber that you could build a house with! In fact, I think if all that wood was replaced with more appropriately sized stuff, that would result in a significant weight reduction! 😲 Ross you're doing a brilliant job there! Well done young sir! :-)

As an trained and certified carpenter, if you rip out the wood, work it into the right sizes and shapes and rebuild the interior with it you have leftovers. Would probably cheaper to use new material though if you do it not on your own time though. The kitchen board would be good with some shaping and epoxy work to make it lighter and not look half assed in the surface department. As a whole everyone with very basic tools and the will to make it look good could do an better job, that is very deliberate bad work, you do not get to that degree of shitty by plain lazyness.

Incredible video Ross! That scope is amazing! And I'm so happy you found the door switch, thank you! For the viewers, this is my bus and the ceiling should have been insulated per our contract with the original builder, Lone Star Skoolie. (And of course we didn't expect panels and switches to be boarded over)

ID be having a chat with them via a Lawyer and suggesting a full refund is much cheaper than a Court appointment......... Lawyers letter of settlement is polite and tells them you mean business and then the ball is in their court.

@@tony66au, yah, seems cut and dry to me. Plus, inform they were lucky no one was killed from electrocution which would have been far more serious.

@planetOZ. Must be disappointing to see how faulty the conversion was. Your choice of interior color seems restful and cheery. I like it. I drove several types and sizes of school buses last century going to college. It would be hard for me to look forward to 10 hours of road time in any of the ones I drove ;-)

It was bad BEFORE y'all got into the walls and ceiling. But one step at a time, you'll get her all fixed up 🥰

Are you tearing out everything they did? I wouldn't trust anything they "created", framing, woodwork, ceiling without insulation, etc, they're so incompetent in every aspect of the build. If they are aftermarket side/rear windows I'd be afraid they'd eventually fly off. It is such a cute bus and will look so good once its finished. I was trying to figure out if people bought the buses from the same place they were butchered up or if it was already your bus you owned? To me it sounds like he sold and did the conversions. Just curious.

Nice work Ross. One small bite at a time. I am baffled how someone could board over a bright red knob and not ask themselves "I wonder what that is for". Then the doors don't operate. Dah. Good save Ross

How can you claim to be a bus conversion company but not understand how a bus works. I'm learning so much but I'm sorry that it is as the cost of the customer who clearly got screwed. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in these videos.

it is an scam operation, the only thing that puzzles me is that they bothered with doing anything at all with the busses instead selling them and running of with all the money.

It's actually refreshing to see someone figure out/find the solution to something that someone could not........it's beyond refreshing! These days, there's more folk pretending to know, in the name of gaining. Only to take others money by running them in circles, while straight pussy footing . Who doesn't insulate a bus?!?! .........and that lock thingy that they put on the front was a kodak moment! I am glad that the owner mentioned their name. Then again they'll likely change it.

That switch by the door really isn't an emergency switch, but rather the way to close the door from outside.
@ryanlangan10602 жыл бұрын
If you lose air pressure, you lose the door. The switch allows for the driver to release the door opening from either side. In an emergency, it's very important for a school bus.
