11:55 The poison in the food isn't really explained in the anime. But very vaguely hinted. For Renner to do a racial change from human to demon, aside from using the item Albedo gave her, Renner have other requirement to fulfill, and that is to sacrifice Innocent Souls. And in last episode, the episode started with Renner distributing food to the orphanage. Renner poisoned those foods and use the Orphanage children and caretaker as sacrifice (Remember in that episode, Renner also told the caretaker to eat as well), as Children souls is the easiest "Innocent souls" to farm. And additional trivia: Renner built that Orphanage shortly after Demiurge attack on capital, which is the very first time she got in contact with Nazarick. That mean, from the very beginning, she build that orphanage for the sake of gathering sacrifices

I'm sure renner can make it look like his actually slaying monsters or something like that.

@@DpNemo Renner already planted the seed of that by telling Climb that Ainz will likely force him to do something to prove his loyalty and that, whatever it is, will be painful for Climb, but she asks that he endure it for her sake. That "act of loyalty" will probably be the sacrificing of innocent souls required to unlock his Seed of the Fallen. It will also likely be orchestrated solely by Renner, under the guise of being an order from Ainz.

When it comes to the exterior shot of the manor, it was way more brutal in the Light Novel. Basically Albedo dragged Philip out by the ear (like he was a misbehaving child) to reveal that she went full Vlad the Impaler on everyone in the surrounding territory.

The heads in the box were his father and the two barons Philip was working with. Albedo impaled everyone at the house saving Philip for last. The LN is still being written so there should be enough material for another anime season giving us a wrap up of the series, but it's going slow maybe years before we even get an announcement of it going into production. Now we just need the scene where Climb meets Sebas in Nazarivk.

There are 2 LN volumes out now. Ainz goes to the Elven forest and eventually meets the Elven King. 3 Fight scenes, first with a forest monster, second with the Elven King, and lastly with Zeshi. Only "home front" scene is with Nfiera who complains to Ainz about his wife in bed. So no mention of Climb or Sebas.

The only reason Renner cannot comprehend Ainz because she think Ainz as ordinary but the two smartest person she knew Albedo and Demiurge think highly of Ainz thus making her hard to figure out what Ainz really is.

@@WyndStryke It's funny because it's the same reason that Ainz demurs to Tanya in Isekai Quartet. He immediately recognizes the "Salaryman boss" type that Tanya completely embodies, so he's far more cautious around her than the others. I remember people getting so mad that Aqua's Turn Undead hurting Shalltear and Ainz and I have to laugh because despite how strong and OP Ainz is, Aqua is a *literal God* Even if she's as smart as a box of rocks.

that was the best season. 👌 and just think- the anime only scratches the surface of the entirety of this story. i have never seen an anime/light novel that had this much depth to a world. i believe that the creator of the series based Overlord heavily off of D&D- and it *really* does feel like a masterclass in weaving a campaign of epic proportions. the characters are extremely well-written. one of the best things about the series i think, are how it's not all the same old tropes of characters that you see in anime. this creator will actually strive to make characters defy our expectations of their identities, and prove us completely wrong about them- in a way, forcing us to empathize with them, and grow fond of their ultimate transformation as a character. and yet- there is still *so* much more mystery to seemingly endless possibilities of the many worlds and characters yet to come.

Fun Fact: Ainz is actually really scared of Renner. Not because she's strong, but because she's a genius on a level close to Albedo/Demiurge but isn't programmed to be absolutely loyal to him so he's worried that she isn't gonna do the mental gymnastics that the rest of Nazerick does when Ainz does something questionable and that she'll end up seeing through him and figure out that he isn't an omnipotent overlord and expose him. But, iirc, she does think he's a genius on a level above her because when Ainz decided to take on the role of the person to kill Climb, that made Albedo a little angry. The role could've been played by literally anyone in Nazerick, but Ainz decided to do it because he had "certain standards when acting as a villain." But, to Albedo, to make a supreme being play out such silly role is offensive. Renner was hoping that all that she'd done up until now would allow her a little breathing room while she's working for them but, because Ainz decided to take on that role and offend Albedo, and since Renner is under Albedo's supervision, that eliminated any chance of breathing room and might've put an even more watchful eye on her.

Whats left if you're curious. S1 to 4: Volume 1-14 (no 12 or 13) The movie: 12 and 13 (one of the most loved arcs) Volume 15 and 16 are out, and one arc. Volume 17 and 18 are the finally, most likely coming out near the end of this year or next year. If you're curious as well, it was supposed to be initially 20 volumes, and the author had ideas for 50. But due to burn out, pirating, and his opinion on fan translates, he's ending it early. We should be glad he's even giving us an ending.

i think season 4 showed more flashbacks compared to other seasons due to the fact that season came like 4 years later while first 3 seasons were knda back to back even then whenever this show became confusing it was damn confusing.
