A personal message from me, Bregje - Estona Metalsmithing & Jewelry Making Tutorials

I was told that a dramatic thumbnail would make the difference, so this one is just for fun, ;-). I am (partially) moving over to a different platform though, and in this video I will tell you why.

And to hear that so many of you enjoyed the tutorials or even started with metalsmithing after coming across them... Wauw! I am humbled and very grateful for your support and your kind words. Of course KZbin is a big company with a lot of employers, buildings they have to pay for, et cetera. But something just isn't adding up. My videos have gone up, the subscribers, hours watched, et cetera. Almost doubled everything, but got half the income. Too bad. I am happy you will join in on the fun on Patreon!

Hello oh my goodness I am so sorry. I have only just discovered your videos and I love them. I am brand new to jewellery making I am a permanent stsy at home disabled man. I have invested about £1500 on everything I could think of to turn my greenhouse into my own sanctuary with the hope of making some jewellery to sell. I have been watching online tutorials to teach me the basics of basic information to get me of the ground. I couldn't afford anything more than say £2 a month right now I have overspent so so much I am penny watching every cent. It is a sign of the times, KZbin and online facilities getting greedier and greedier. I don’t understand what is patreon, so please do explain in your new introductions. I have learned heaps from your videos, you explain very clearly and have a nice attitude to learning. Your videos assisted my transition from wax carving and lost wax casting to fabrication and more sophisticated and adventurous stone setting. Best of luck creating the new format, and remember to do it without excuses, as you have discovered, if you don’t set it up in your own best financial,interests, no one else will do it for you!

FYI, Patreon is just a monetisation platform. It's a way that creators can sell subscriptions or digital content etc. if you want to access stuff from a given creator, you create an account and subscribe to whatever theyre doing, and then this gives you access to the things they're creating

OMG, I love you and your videos! You teach me everything from scratch. When I decided to study this major for my master's, I didn't know anything. (For master's programs, professors don't teach you much because they expect all students to have already learned the basics during their bachelor's. My bachelor's major was engineering.) I watched all your videos and followed everything step by step. I always talk about you and your videos to other students. 🩷🩷 I love you, thank you so much! 🩷🩷 I also need to mention that it's so sad the same problem that happened to my channel 8 months ago is now happening to my favorite KZbinr. 😭 KZbin also decreased my revenue by nearly 95%. You're doing the right thing and I will make it a point to get over to Patreon. But, there's something else going on and I think it started with a Google algorithm update about a year ago. It hit the website where I'm a staff writer very hard and slashed our revenue to less than half of what we were making. Others have been negatively impacted as well. Patreon is a good platform for artists such as yourself. There's another jeweler on KZbin who has a big Patreon following. I wish you the best of luck. Don't give up entirely on KZbin because Google will be updating their algorithm again, and, according to SEO gurus, it should reverse some of the damage they did to everyone.
