college students are allowed to vote via absentee ballot at college for the county at which their permanent residence is because that is their home. They're living primarily at college but their home is with their parents if they so choose that. I voted absentee at school but for the county I called home.

You vote using whatever address your drivers license is registered to. A lot of students get new drivers licenses and register to vote in the states where they attend school, but I always kept my address the same as my parents because I wanted to vote there. Either option is aceptable. The discussion of scholarships should not have been brought up and from what I remember from school, your scholarship/financial aid has nothing to do with your zip code it's all about your parents finances and your academics. Sounds like they were trying to intimidate a student to vote in a specific county because they want a specific outcome. Bizarre behavior.

You can Colorado allows same day registration unlike most red states, but mail in allows you to research each issue independently and fill out your ballot as your schedule allows. And guess what, Colorado has some of the lowest voter fraud numbers of any state.
