@@BoopSnoot Emergency vehicles are ALLOWED to drive out of their lane. There is no warning that there are dangerous protrusions in the roadbed, if I was that BMW owner, I'd be suing because it just as well could have caught his car's undercarriage and thrown him into other vehicles possibly causing fatalities. Emergency vehicles going around stopped vehicles to get to an accident hits one and people die because of it, GDOT is going to be sued for 10s of millions. Someone sideswipes you, shoves you over or an animal runs across the road or a person runs across the road or there is junk in the road because someone's load fell out, you swerve and you hit a "prong" But your car is different and it yanks the wheel over making you swerve into 4 other cars and 3 people die and several go to the hospital. Yeah, those are hazards that need removed NOW, not after GDOT "looks into it", NOW!

On the one hand, you're not supposed to cross a solid white line. We all know that. On the other hand, what happens if you have to swerve for whatever reason? Many years ago, I was on a highway at night when all of a sudden, I see half of a deer in front of me. I mean the entire deer with its antlers, but missing the legs! The thing was sitting up. So imagine my absolute shock at seeing this in the middle of the night. Needless to say, I swerved to avoid hitting it. Now what happens if I have to do that right at a point where some knucklehead added these tire killers and never put the sign that was supposed to be there? This makes no sense. They should remove the thing/take care of it and reimburse this man.

@@vrdog9660 you ain’t thinking too clearly here. Ever watch a tractor trailer have a blowout? Watch it swerve, impacting other vehicles? Now imagine a truck ends up hitting those things, and as a consequence its trailer swings out into the highway and slams a car into an overpass. Doesn’t matter whether the trucker should have been there or not. What would matter is that the things projecting up out of the road are obvious safety hazards that should have been removed.

@@vrdog9660 Giant light poles are a lot more visible than those little tire poppers. BTW, if you swerve to miss crap in the road, which there always is crap in the road, and your car is low to the ground, it's going to grab your undercarriage and either stop you instantly, or, more likely, throw you into another lane and possibly kill someone or, at the very least, cause severe injuries. Heck, even if you don't hit any other cars, you'll be thrown nose first into a concrete wall.

I see their argument, but they're literally right in a spot you can't pull over. You can't pull over right at an exit. To me, the only people to be affected by them are people who don't pay attention to their exit and try to still make an exit after they missed it. Or worse people who will reverse into moving traffic to turn onto that exit after they missed it. Stop using emergency as an excuse. You would get hit. If you pull over there in that spot, it's an exit for a highway. Complaining your car got damaged in an area, it's not supposed to be in is ridiculous. You really would be some kind of special if you chose that spot to pull over. You'd have cars flying by both sides of your car lol.
