The best first episode I have ever watched in all anime history! Years ago I didn't expect much from this series so I just went to see this first episode on my cellphone. After finishing this video, I cried because I just witnessed such a beautiful anime. Till this day, this is still my second favorite anime. Truly inspiring!

A journey to Antarctica with both the excitement and realistic difficulties of actually doing it, very detailed, which translates to grassroots atmosphere (I especially liked the Singapore traveling part). And along the journey the characters deal with their own life issues and get to know each other. A bit overdramatic and cheesy presentation at times but the substance and themes are very real and direction is smooth.
