41:35 "This song makes me sad". That's the point. It's a very, very sad moment for Amicia. It's a compliment to the composers that you realize that.

I was very surprised about its music. I knew its gonna be good but not like that.. What a game! I finished it 3 days ago and i'm trying to recover from it, i just don't want to remember it anymore. It hurts.. Definitely my GOTY, masterpiece.

Same. Amicia is hands down my favorite fictional female character of all time, and easily in my top fave protagonist of all time.

I'm the other way around. My brain just doesn't seem to want to accept how the story turned out. It was perfect, yet i need more. I need the story to continue. Not in a third installment (i think the series would be better if left at these two games, as they present everything that needs presenting), but more the hope for that alternate timeline. That's about as well as I can put it without spoiling the end of this near perfect game to anyone stumbling on to this comment.

Ok first off, am I the only person who thinks you look EXACTLY like Arnoud?! (One of the characters from the game) Second, I've played through "A Plague Tale: Requiem" 4 times since launch and watched 3 others playthrough it, including the Composer and a few of the VAs, and this OST, without fail, still brings a tear to my eye each and every time I hear it. Loved this reaction/review and am 100% gonna stick around for more!!

yes, and it is really necessary to hear that in the place where it plays in the game. Would have been a great encore in context of the symphony

The second song was played during Amicia's fight after the bad guys discovered hugo hiding in the back of the little cart with the horse and they were burning everything around them. This was after the burnt bee farm. It's called "No Turning Back".

The last song it's called "Up There" and it was played when Amicia was fighting the giant human-rat shaped warriors.

Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed the longer format, and while I know this is a special case, I would not mind seeing more reactions like this in the future. I mentioned on Patreon, but I'll say again here, listening to this after recently completing the game was an overwhelmingly emotional experience. The music in this game works wonderfully to set the tone and mood of what is happening in the moment. The frantic violin and the discordant notes really add to the tension and a sense of unease during some of the more dangerous situations. It would be so interesting to see you react to the music while playing the games, so I hope we will see a playthrough when it is convenient for you.

A Plague Tale is a gritty game series set in medieval times during the great plague. It follows kids trying to survive into a world with some fantastical elements around the plague rooted in alchemy/sorcery, facing the inquisition and their schemes. It's a very gorgeous game aesthetically, and it feels genuine when it comes to the representation of the countryside middle ages Make sure to check out the first title (Innocence) before this new opus, which is a sequel

You were spot on to think that the game's soundtrack is dynamic! It really is, and bits add up onto each other according to where you are in the level and what you see

I think it speaks bounds about the compsotion of the music that you were able to capture so much of what actually happens in the game without knowing anything about it. Perhaps you have played it, perhaps not, but I can say you 100% absolutely nailed it when it comes to that final piece.

And/or one of the Splatoon v-idol concerts (Likely the S2 one in... I think France... since that has official English for the dialogue meaning it's permanently up in English) because I would be fascinated to see a professional musician's take on v-idol stuff generally.

It would be awesome if you would check out metal hellsinger. They won an award for best game audio and are nearly there for best soundtrack. They have Serj Tankian sing for one of their songs called No Tomorrow. The game is like if doom and guitar hero had a baby and its a metalhead's dream game💗

I stumbled upon your channel through this video and I'm glad I did! :-) It's really cool to see people enjoying and loving video game OSTs, and it warms my heart to see Plague Tale Requiem's music get the love it deserves!! I'd highly recommend listening to the first game (A Plague Tale: Innocence) and maybe watching a playthrough if you're short on time just so Requiem makes more sense. A lot of the music also takes from songs of the first game and really layers so many things together! But thanks for this video, really makes me realize how powerful music can be... and it's no exception for A Plague Tale Requiem. I finished it a couple days ago and I'm still recovering from it, it's a very emotional story for sure.

i might be biased because i played the game so i already connect certain sceneries with the music, but even trying to ignore that, the music is incredible at painting pictures, with each note and syllable just right and every instrument used to serve exact and sometimes barely noticeable role. you could tell an entire story just with this soundtrack. it in itself offers a complete experience.

along with ambient chillout, movie and game OST's are what i listen to mainly. Requiems score is so emotional and re-listenable especially if you played the game. I finished this wonderful equally emotional game a couple of days ago on PC. My favorite tracks are: Reunion (the best track imho, also the fourth one on the live version) Hide and Seek The Island A plague tale Requiem main theme The Storm Other incredible game soundtracks that i listen to on repeat- Assassins Creed 2 AC2 Brotherhood AC Black Flag AC Origins The Last Guardian Journey Horizon Zero Dawn Mass Effect 2 Elite Dangerous ES Skyrim The Witcher 2 URU ages beyond myst Myst 3 Exile Anno 2070 Giants Citizen Kabuto
