Good update. I lost about 50 pounds maybe 25 years ago cutting out carbs for about six months. Since then I’ve put about ten back on. Weight will melt off; I’m not saying it’s easy. Eat protein, vegetables and fresh fruit to your hearts content.

As far as getting below 221: cut out soda entirely, double your water intake, and cut out bread. If you can stick to it (because it's freaking hard to do), you'll get to your target goal without sacrificing a whole bunch of dietary favorites. Also: consider using a fork when eating rice 😊
@VegasPokerNomad3 күн бұрын
Someone explained the fork/spoon to me once. He said there's a big difference between how much rice goes into your mouth with each utensil. And restaurants want you loading up on the cheap carbs. I don't recall every detail of it now. But restaurants know what they're doing.

I suppose Rice-man could "go international" and get up to The Playground, outside of Montreal. That place is humongous! Or come by Detroit and play at MGM Grand Detroit and Caesars Windsor. You could do those two the same day easily. I would imagine you could probably play poker in Seneca Allegheny and Niagra Falls Canada the same day also, but that would be a bit harder.

I know you’re getting a ton of advice on weight loss but I must tell you that fasting has changed my perspective on food completely and has been the only thing to ever help me maintain a healthy weight. Obviously I eat way healthier than I used to as well but eat way less food in general, fasting or not fasting. Good luck

I'd set the goal of not more than 20 lbs. It is achievable, but not specifically easy. The Travel goals are great!

Im a believe your Poker ROI is directly correlated to many factors. Two of the Factors are Hours played and Diet. I wouldnt worry about the hours as much, because for myself, my play diminishes with time. I also think your ROI diminishes with a poor diet. I wouldnt beat myself up over these.

I've liked it. I've played in the 3 most recent locations. Definitely the most games in the Phoenix metro area.

Literal food was low those weeks. But I had very long Airbnb reservations and it was worth it to bring my cooler into my bedroom. I was filling it with ice and mineral water a lot. Most of the money those weeks was spent on keeping the cooler cold and stocked.

Do you have to blur out faces in the poker room when recording?
@VegasPokerNomad3 күн бұрын
I'm almost never filming in the rooms. I don't know. But when I do I try to avoid getting people in the shot.

If you want to drop the weight, and be able to keep it off, you're gonna have to find a diet you can live with as you age. I advocate a low carb or keto diet. Rice, while wonderful to eat, has almost zero nutritional value, usually contains arsenic at some level, is high carb, has a high glycemic index and will lead to continued weight gain unless you are an athlete, work out regularly or engage in rigorous physical work for a living. High carb diets can also lead to a host of other health issues beyond just being too chubby. I am not a doctor or a nutritionist. I've just lived a while, gained and lost weight many times and watched a lot of youtube videos. Good luck in 2025!

With such low volume, how can you afford to live? If you're not being subsidized by mommy and daddy........

I hear ya. I got as low as 217, then off keto for my daughter's birthday around Halloween, and now Christmas. I'm afraid to even look at a scale till I get back on keto for three or four weeks!
