Welcome to Krakow, Poland! This is Episode Two of our Poland series and today we visit the Stary Kleparz market in the heart of old town Krakow. After living in Mexico for 6 years, we know a thing or two about markets. How does this Polish market stack up? Our only experience with a market in Europe was in Germany and it was lacking a little something. Will our first visit to a market in Poland be anything like the world class markets in Mexico? Let's find out!

A quick message 👉We want to get back to our roots. Although we will be traveling slow we hope to upload much more frequently. We cannot keep up with daily videos, but we want to get back to sharing more with you. As creators it is easy to fall into the trap of always wanting to create bigger and crazier videos. While we are going to have some wild adventures, we believe that sometimes that best stories happen on the random days in between and we want to share more of that with you. We believe that by doing so we can be more real, authentic, and true to ourselves. Whenever we are only filming/publishing 2 or so videos a week I (Greg) feel an immense pressure for that video to do well- I think that by publishing more frequently we can relax a little bit (both on and off camera), be more ourselves, and build a deeper connection with you. That is how Kinetic Kennons started and I think in an attempt at bettering our craft, we have unintentionally drifted a little too far away from what makes us, us. What do you think?

Sounds good! Every video doesn't have to be dramatic and bucket list related, showing how locals live, engaging in local activities and with locals on your slower travels is interesting IMO.

I think your content has been getting better all the time and I don’t think I’m alone on that. I think you’re right the KZbin algorithm wants more content! Your videos are showing up on my feed again but for the last 6 months or so I’ve noticed you on my feed a lot less and I end up binging your stuff every few months. I personally like learning about the little things about a place on KZbin. When I first found your videos I was doing a little research on places I was going and the big picture videos are basically useless, that’s why your stuff was so helpful. I want to know about certain neighborhoods or slightly less popular places and you guys always show up at the top of the search. You’ve been doing a good job at filming and editing but I don’t think the algorithm appreciates quality as much as quantity so I’m excited for a new approach. You people are personable and I’m positive people would watch you do boring things as well as fun stuff. Speaking of boring, I love polish breads cheeses and meats, if you want to do 3 hours on meat platters instead of 3 minutes I would watch it !

I agree. I think being more spontaneous with the filming instead of regimented will allow more creativity and will ultimately put less pressure on you both. If you start imposing a rigid schedule on yourselves and start having expectations of your content, the freedom to express yourselves creatively and spontaneously is gone. That can definitely affect your content and people can sense that you’re not being yourselves. Whether you want to upload daily videos or weekly videos doesn’t matter as long as you’re doing it out of joy, passion and true love for your craft. If putting smaller videos is more manageable and makes you enjoy creating content more then Go for it! I support you in your endeavours ,I think you are both doing great things and have had such a unique an amazing journey, you should be very proud of yourselves no matter what😊

Stary Kleparz is the name of the district, once a town for itself, before it was "eaten" by Kraków. Until mid 1800's it was a place where you could buy/sell horses, cattle and grain.

I like when you compare Poland to Mexico 😊 I'm Polish, in the end of 2022 i traveled to Mexico for the first time and I felt like home there 😁 Poland is much safer, probably more developed... or we just stay on a neutral level IDK .. but it's not the point. I felt like people are simmilar in both of our countries. Mexicans ofc smile a lot more, they have more of sun 😉 The point is - I've never felt I've visited an exotic place when I was in Mexico. Nature etc. was exotic... but the people were like a family I haven't seen for a long time. We had the same vibes, values, partying style. Everything. I LOVE MEXICO ❤ And those markets - as you say - are showing the everyday life 😊 I enjoyed markets in Mexico as much I enjoy markets in my country. There is something about those places - colorful, variety of things and ofc those are places where you meet with eachothers, say hello, chat. You can have your favourite "tomato guy" you can try something new in an old fashioned but genuine way 😊

Hi. I'm from Kraków, as a citizen i must say it - Stary Kleparz is my favorite place to buy things. The tiny smoked cheese is called "oscypek", that guy who sell them has in my opinion the best ones, same with homemade sausage. I buy there very often. The "tomato guy", he sells veggies and fruits depending on seasons. In early summer he has one of the best strawberries, blackberries and blueberries. The line is always like that. There is also a place there that sells raw unpasteurised cow milk but unfortunetly they sell it only on wednesday. As a local - You made some good decisions there!

Thanks! So happy to see that you are in Krakow. I took Study Abroad students for 13 straight years to Prague and I made it a point to take them to Krakow so I have been in that city a number of times and enjoyed that city so much. In your first Krakow video you used the word "impactful." If you want a truly impactful experience while in Krakow I encourage you to take an organized tour to Auschwitz and Birkenau. Please make that part of your plan while in Krakow. You will be there enough time to have this impactful experience that I believe everyone should have at least once in their life. ....Dziękuję

How fun! I was born and raised in Poland and left for Canada almost 20 years ago. Don’t really miss it, but it’s fun to see what it looks like now. The little smoked cheese is called “oscypek” and it originated in the mountains of Southern Poland. Originally, it was made out of sheep milk but now I believe they’ve been more commercialized and are now made predominantly of cow milk. I love that salty, smoky taste and I’m glad you tried it!

Covid, war in Ukraine and the inflation crisis significantly raised prices in Poland. I like Krakow but the only thing I don't like about this city is that a lot of beautiful, historic buildings are destroyed by vandals (graffiti etc) or abandoned. The same problem with graffiti and vandalism is in Berlin/Germany, city I live.
