Well, MLP is mostly Slice of Life, but the two-parters frequently venture into fantasy adventure, as do the later seasons. The characters are all likable and relatable, even to adults. Even the world building is really intruiging if you're willing to put thought into it. Its weak point is the story however. The episode plots frequently center around teaching lessons and the tight production schedule between seasons meant not all concepts could be entirely fleshed out. But it did run for 9 Seasons for an entire decade. I'd say it's worth it.

Back when the Brony phenomenon was going on, I researched it in a failed hope to try my hand at making a documentary. When they say G4, they're talking about the fourth iteration of the franchise, the first being back in the 80's. This video came out after the first season, but the show actually lasted for 9 seasons (first on The Hub, then later on Discovery Kids), and also included a few specials, a theatrical film, and a spinoff straight-to-video series with alternate versions of the characters in high school (their attempt to cut into the Bratz and Monster High demographic). The sheer amount of fan work is insane, and it was the starting point for some fairly popular KZbin stars, such as voice actor Nowacking (Team Four Star's FF7Machinabridged) and musician Living Tombstone (collabed on Hazbin Hotel). It might be an interesting show to react to, actually. The show's a who's who of cameos in the background, season four ends in a DBZ-style beam battle, and Weird Al shows up a couple times as a pony but basically just playing himself. Just a thought

There was also Jan Animations, whose MLP works were so show-accurate that their removal due to copyright, though frustrating, was actually understandable. The best thing about this is that if they did this after MLP:FiM Season 2, Rainbow Dash would've absolutely won even quicker than she did. In Season 2, she gets an ability to literally create a NUKE by flying at her top speed and crashing into something. For the cannels that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, aired on, they were The Hub (Hasbro operated), and later rebranded Discovery Family, when the contract ran out. Show ran from 10th of october 2010, to the 12th of october 2019. If I remember correctly, seasons 1-8 could be found on netflix, and season 9 on hulu.

I think we can all agree that the only joke here was Starscream xD Thanks for reacting to this episode^^ It's actually very special to me, as for a long time I used this episode as an excuse why I became a brony, while I was still feeling insecure about watching a show targeted for little girls. While a few of my friends at college watched Death Battle, none were watching MLP, so it made more sense to say that I just watched this episode and decided to give that show a try, rather than saying that on one of the webcomics I read the author posted a clip from the first episode and I thought "Wow, that looks actually good...". To this day, I still feel it would have made more sense to pit Rainbow up against Buttercup from The Powerpuff Girls since she has more in common.
