Sorry late catching up, the 8 speed box is basically the same as the ivecos they’ve unified Fiat, Iveco peugeot and citreon since the Stellantis group took over the only difference from the 9 in our old Kon tiki sport I’ve noticed is the lower gears are a bit longer so not so much changing at slow speeds 🤔 Hope that helps 😉 Stay Safe 😜👍

Hi Bob is the front radiator not protected at all on that Aclass, also what psi do you run your tyres on please

It has a grill. I run the front at 65psi and the back at 75psi.

Enjoyed that, plenty of storage space. Maybe they do Roman blinds to keep them out of the way in the day when they are up. Curtains would be more cosy though.

@@clarefrancis9284 yes I agree, because of the ruching on the curtains a deep slot or a pelmet would be required which I don’t really like the idea of doing to a brand new lovely Motorhome so the Roman blind would be perfect as I think you can just Velcro them on and remove them if necessary without causing any damage. Thanks for your input, I will look for something to be good match with that kontiki scheme.

@ yes you can use stick on Velcro on the wall and stitch on velcro on the blind. I have made one and they are quite easy to make.

@@clarefrancis9284 Thanks for that . I am bricklayer and quite good at making things but I’ll be honest that is beyond my capabilities. Fortunately for me my wife Tammy is very good with a sewing machine and I am sure she’ll be able to make a lovely Roman blind. I have just discussed it with her and she is searching for some fabric that will match the kontiki scheme.

We’ve been waiting for this video after seeing the previous one. I’m so glad you turned the floor locker lid round to see if the lines in the ship flooring lined up (shame they didn’t - my OCD can’t handle it lol). Nice van - we’d like something similar but only 2 belted seats - larger lounge. Similar to liner for 2 but a smaller price tag 🤪

I have the Pegaso 590. If my situation changes, I would consider upgrading. For now, I'll stick with the pull-down bed. My only problem with the bed is that if I get pain in my back, it can be awkward to get in it. Making up the lower double bed doesn't help as it makes the pain worse. That said, my back usually gets better after a good nights sleep.

Thanks Bob, I was really looking forward to this vlog with us changing our moho next year. The rear singles also lift on gas struts revealing a bit more storage underneath too. For those who aren't a fan of A class, Roller Team have also added the same floor plan to their T Line range. I dunno, personally I'm a bit fonder of having metal around me at the business end... what our your thoughts? Decided to take the plunge & at 57 finally go for my C1, probably stick with Auto Trail and go for a high bed Comanche as we've both retired and plan on doing a lot more touring in between the group events I plan. Always appreciate your efforts mate. Iain, head honcho, F Line Owners Group.

@@BobEarnshawMoHo Yeah the huge windscreen is a bonus.The Euro sided A Class' don't have the same level of blindspot due to the door being on the N/S. That A pillar though. It's very noticable at roundabouts.

Hi Bob please be aware that if you have to go on a medical license by the dvla you lose C1 driving so people should check the back of their licences?

I’m with you Bob on the curtains. My swift bessacarr has the blinds with the curtains over the top and this works perfectly. My next van will be a kon tiki 784 but I’m trying to figure out how to retrofit some curtains, particularly in the bedroom area where the sunlight can shine through the little pin holes on the blinds in the summer when the sun rises quite early. I think that they do have them in the voyager but not the kontiki. Seems strange as it is supposed to be the top of the range model. If anybody has any ideas on this issue I would be very interested. Keep up the good work

Yes, curtains in the bedroom would be good in the long summer days.

Curtains are another marmite subject. I took the nets down in our F70 as we never used them and even in the height of summer the rear bedroom is very dark just using the blinds. There are many moho owners who even cover the blue light on the fridge & usb sockets as it disturbs their sleep. Me, I can easily sleep with the air con on. Is there a space in the window surround to add a thin lightweight track in the Kontiki? Lot's of upgrades on the MY25's.

@winkle1008 There are two wooden boards where you could fix a curtain track facing outwards, but not facing down. It might be a bit messy.

We’ve just changed from a 2021 Adria Twin with 9 speed auto to a Carthago C-Compactline with the new 8 speed auto and find the new one much smoother that’s not to say that the 9 speed wasn’t good just the 8 speed is better imo

We’ve already decided once we retire we’re having an Aclass for a couple of years to tour 6 months a time. The Roller Team layout is good but build quality is poor. We like the Malibu and the Rapido at the moment.

I would not pay 90K for a RollerTeam rental motorhome lookalike. It looks cheaply made. Not designed to last. There's also been a lot of comments on RollerTeam decals looking bad after a few years. Hence why I would not pay 90K for this low end build. I would pay 90K for a 2nd hand Malibu or Carthago.

It's a high end holiday van a bit like it's cloned stablemate the Mobilvetta, unlike Carthago which are built to be used for extended trips. Hire companies love them as they're built very well and can take a bit of punishment.

Thats Really bad workmanship!! not lining the floor compartments to the contour of the actual flooring,makes you wonder what else they have cut corners on for 100k ??

Do you mean the floor hatches? I'd say that's a lack of attention to detail.
